wouldnt the amp always stay on?If you have no signal going to remote turn on for the amp, taking a jumper wire from the B+ to the remote in on the amp.
Haha, yes. This is just for diagnosis purposes to check and rule out if you have possibly a shorted out turn on lead. You wouldn't run your system with a jumper from the B+ to the remote in.

My new custom tailgate and bed sides. If you look closely enough, you can see what appears to be the shape of an early 2000s Dodge Ram in the tailgate:

Mind=blown. Id love for this "mistake" to have happened to me. An alt that's more than twice the output of the one I ordered? Yes, please

Glad to hear everything went well brother. Going under the knife sucks. Nothing is weirder than that feeling where you're awake and all of sudden you're NOT.
On a side note, I know this guy that sells this stuff called Sunflash. A little kitty hair and some of that stuff, you'll hide that scar in no time

Snow, did you actually READ the post? It may not say what you think it did.

Apologize if it's already on here:

I saw the helmet on the guy, but I failed to see any kind of roll bar or cage which is required if he wants to actually race the truck(judging by the time and speed class he's running). A good official would have let him make his one fast pass and once realizing it wasnt up to safety spec, make him park it.

Fi SSDs sound like a good plan. That box won't take up too much space either.

He wants to keep it totally stock basically. The depth of the SA will never work in that stock location. The magnet is damn wide too. And no, the SA will not work in a free air environment, not well anyway.

It sounded healthy. If I was in the Vette, I would've been worried about sleeper status. 11s in the quarter are no joke. He was geared SUPER low With a wicked stall too. Trap speed was like 114?
Edit- Mid 11s will walk most any vehicle on the road.

Sexy sub. Love the bumped back plate and sexy top plate. What is the function of the top plate being shaped like that? If you can't divulge, that's ok, I was just curious. Also, triple progressive spiders? The leads look like heavier gauge than I see some guys power their door speakers with
-
Its likely that the EBP isn't really great for that particular sub. The EBP refers to Efficiency Bandwidth Product and is calculated by Fs/Qes. If this number is 50 or less, sealed us the optimum environment for that sub. A range between 50-90 and the sub will work well sealed or ported. 90 and above you're looking at a ported enclosure as being most effective for that sub. Typically if a sub is good in a sealed box, it will also perform well in a well designed 4th order bandpass.
And since you aren't running the same motor as the Level 5, you don't have the same T/S specs.

curious on the reason behind different connections on the woofers tabs and then screws?
It appears the 5.25 and the 6.5" are a little different, thats the difference I see.
-
What's the argument exactly? Deep cycle vs. non deep cycle? Flooded vs. AGM?
-
Dude, they JUST came out. It's gonna take a little bit to start seeing them come around. These subs are built for brutal lows by the way, not the meter. Not to say they won't meter well, but they are not a tight gapped SPL type sub. These appear to be built for musical, low hitting preferences. They said an SPL version will be to follow in the upcoming months.

I downloaded this on my iPad a few days ago. There is a tone generator, wiring diagrams, enclosure volume and simple box building program. It does not allow for Round portas, however there is a section where you can calculate round port tuning and it will give you desired length. You have to know a little about enclosure design though in order to get it to work for you, you can NOT be a noob to enclosure design. All in all, it's a good app for the Apple market, one of the best I've seen so far. Well worth the $.99 in my opinion. Any questions about specifics of what the app includes,PM me or whatever and I'll let you know if it has what you're looking for

Id say .5-.75 cubic feet for ported per sub.
Edit-Haha I spelled ported as petted, dumb Samsung
-
They gave you the grille brush too, that's freaking awesome. I love those guys.

Surprised no one has asked about dipping an amp case yet.
Are the amps assembled in house or don't they come in that way? Would be really cool to see though
-
Not that I'm a hunter or anything, but you could do a Realtree dip correct? This is a similar method to how they dip compound bow limbs, right?
-
You'll be fine, it's still an AGM. Let err rip sir

Ricer:yesRicer of the day
Everything painted same color: Better than 98% of other ricers out there, so that's not TOO terrible.
