  1. Umm SS with cam, intake and exhaust, chip (anything to open it up some) would be right there with the Shelby. The SS motor is no joke and I love Chevy for that, but to add a blower too...yea, hands down, SS. I'm sure I will get knocked for this, but it is true. Small upgrades will open up the SS and make it come alive. Youtube vids of them doing this are available.

    Like I said, the biggest reason to import the GT500 vs others is the overall future value. THe SS motor is sick though.

    yeah, just watched the motor trend vids on youtube.... the Shelby barely edges out the SS in performance. as far as resale is concerned - not worth it here in Russia, a mustang is a mustang and a camaro is just sooo much more scarce than a car that has esentially been around since 2005..... not enough of a legacy here.

    It came out in 2010 i thought for the camaro? I may be wrong?

    The 05 he is referring to is the Mustang.

  2. You've overlooked the 6.0 powered Pontiac GTO's. Same powerplant as the Camaro(basically) and tons of aftermarket go-fast goodies for it. They will fit your "older" status for customs purposes as they are 05 and 06's. A lot more rare than the other cars you mentioned as they no longer make them. Will be more of a collector in the future than a GT mustang or SS Camaro.

  3. k thnks ill look into the headers first...is there a difference between different programer tuner companies?

    I'd look for a tuner that offers an 87 octane tune, that way you don't HAVE to run premium while running the tune. The tuner I have on my fullsize GMC is a Premium fuel tune, and if I don't run premium(which i ALWAYS HAVE), you can run into early detonation issues. NOT worth the risk in my opinion. I run a Superchips programmer, but Hypertech and others are just as good. Creep around a Jeep forum and see what others are running on that Jeep. I believe it's a WJ right? Good luck with the search.

  4. Couldn't he run a line level converter from the RCA output on the deck to the HIGH level inputs on the 4 channel? can you hook them up that way?

    No, I found out my head unit isnt that out of date it has 2 sets of 2v rca ouputs. Even though she is an older model that lil jvc gets the job done.

    But didn't you say that your 4 channel amp doesn't have low level inputs(RCA's)?

  5. you wont lose any mids/highs unless your hu has only like 1v preouts.

    a box for eight 5 1/2" speakers? :Doh::sigh:

  6. Alright guys I need help on this as well. My headunit on has 2 sets of rca outputs. Right now i just ordered a class d amp for the sub finally. I have a four channel but no rca outputs. The new amp has one set of rca outputs should i run the outputs from the lows amp to a highs amp? or just run high inputs to the highs amp because I have the plugs for them. Or just run high amp inputs on the lows amp?

    Run the RCA's from the HU to the class D amp. Those are low level inputs.
