  1. jack was on the roof and couldn't get off, so jill had to help jack off...
  2. About how tall is the basket for a BTL 18 N2? How wide is the motor (not the square side, the circular part)?
  3. And SHAZAM! Why did I not think of this design?? It's so simple!
  4. I see. I don't want to revive an old topic, but I was wondering, should port face the back of car or towards the seat?
  5. Hmm, what would your recommendation be?
  6. So, a slot port would be better for this?
  7. I think that design will work, right? What do you guys recommend for bracing?
  8. I know what you mean, but the sheer size of an 18 is total shock and awe, you know? Also (Might have to shave it to 17, give the driver some room to flex.)
  9. Yeah, that would work. I'm trying to balance performance and aesthetics together, but my car isn't working with me, so I guess sub up is the only option for a square box.
  10. Hmm, let's rework this then. I agree, shouldn't be building a wedge box for my first box.
  11. I will add that after the whole port problem... Depending upon how you brace it, you may still have a port problem... How's that?

  13. I don't want to triple post, but here is the next option, lol
  14. Otherwise, the next thing I am thinking of is to simply scrunch up the port into a spiral, but I have no idea if that works. Argh, this pisses me off. It looks like I can't fit an 18 into this car then, and I really don't want to settle for a 15 either..
  15. Hmmm, and simply adding more ports does not work, right? IT works but then you also have to take into account the space the ports take up in side the box. Then I have a big dilemma. More ports equal higher tuning. Can anyone figure out a solution? Or does this mean that I have to extend these ports out of the box? Aesthetic reasons.

  17. Revised: EDIT: Damn, I knew it was still not enough
  18. You're right, a Fi BTL 18 N2. As for the port, making it larger in diameter also makes the length requirement higher too.
  19. First time designing a box, and I was wondering whether you veterans can spot any problems with this enclosure. Bear with me, the model is not 100% accurate (first time using the program)... This will go into the trunk of my Camry (unsure of year), so that's why the dimensions are so small.
  20. Honestly, all that I am concerned about is the slanted side. All that I really need is that one side.
  21. Does Car Toys build custom boxes? A lot of them are terrible ripoff stores where I live.
  22. Or, third option is for someone to simply cut the slanted side, cut the port and speaker hole, complete with screw holes too, and just send that. EDIT: Never mind, just read above post.
  23. OR, someone can cut the pieces for me, and then send them in a flat package for me to assemble, but I don't know if that will affect shipping much.
  24. Yeah, that's why I wanted to ask if anyone knew someone around my area that does these things.
