yea i got a gain knob.
but one last question for the Gain knob would i set the gains on the amp with the gain knob full. then i will never go over? is that how it works.
-
tried one of the 4 channels and i got sound from both speakers.. SO they work! but wtf i only bought that stupid deck so i wouldnt have a shithole of Y splitters and stuff in my trunk...
Whats the best way to hook up the 2 amps just off the Front and Back RCA outputs??
-
worth a shot, but I have big 3 upgrade, stock front battery and an optima yellowtop in the trunk i couldnt see it not handling it.
-
yea the blue light comes on.
-
BEST drawing i could do. if need clarification ask, both amps hooked up to a yellow top in the trunk and yes the bats fine i was running my 4 channel off it before i tried to install subs today
Dual 1 ohms is what i ordered so should be. and that is wired to 1 ohm i believe.

kranny even when i turn it on it doesnt work... Shitty diagram coming though

Ill try and draw a diagram right quick here

Well Ive been reading around and I will Reset the unit. and put the Subwoofer to "on", then If there is no source go into the sound settings, and all other 4 speakers play, but still no subs. Then no matter what once I click any source and go back to settings the subwoofer portion is greyed out.

Alright, so i have a Sony XAV-72BT deck, a 4 channel amp and I just bought 2 Fi ssd's and a crescendo 2000 amp.
So the deck has Front, rear RCA outputs and 1 rca jack out for the sub out. So i bought a 2F1M rca and hooked up the sub amp to the sub out, and then used a 4 channel rca for the 4 channel amp. There is 1 remote wire which i spliced into two and put to both amps. I have my Fi's wired down to 1 ohm and i want to set my gains using my multimeter.
THERE IS NO SOUND. I put the multimeter on the speaker outputs for my subs and theres no voltage. theres no sound if i hook them up
Both amps do light up and turn on. My 4 channel plays music but i Cant for the life of me figure out how to get my subs working. Ive tried putting an set of rca's from the output on the 4 channel to the cresendo.
Im fuckin hooped. help me out eh?

How do you guys feel about hifonics amps?

I used y-splitters, they worked fine. You may lose a little sound quality i have no idea, but its working fine for me.

would a local shop sell aeros or i will most likely have to buy online?
-
I have a mac so I cant use torres....... I remeasures and need the width to be 35''... if anyone wanted to put that stuff into torres and post a pic here...
So you want to run the aeros external from the box to the rear deck level?
Yes exactly. I want the end of the port flush with the rear deck. Will I count the entire port length for this or just the port inside the box? and is this a legitimate way of having the port.

Hey, so i have a 05 civic sedan and i want to put 2 12'' lvl 3 dcs in the trunk. I want to do subs forward port through the rear deck, although I have never built a box with a cylindrical port yet. I was wondering if the shape of the box really matters or I can just get my volume and put a port in. I wanted to do 3cu.ft. net volume. tuned to around 35hz (open to suggestion)
sub info

Also does it matter how much of the port is outside the box? because it will be poking out a bit to make it through the rear deck.
This is what I came up with, is this a good diameter etc? When I put in a 4'' diameter the length was 6 inches so that didnt seem right.
This wedge will be rotated 90 degrees. The subs will be parallel with how the seats lean back
any advice would be greatly appreciated. I made this thread quick so if i missed anything let me know.

done, i was finished in september completely forgot i had a thread here. theres a lack of pictures also but oh well.
First thing I've done anywhere close to a build so lemme know what you think. I still have to cover up where the expanding foam can be seen but its too cold to do that anytime soon haha.
