  1. Haha yeh man I definitely know what you mean with all the guys that just got kicker thinking they're all that. But cheers for all the help aye I'll have a look into the 10" L7's if I can't get around 2.5ft^3. Thanks!!
  2. Hey thanks for all the info enveryone definitely food for thought. Firstly, I live in New Zealand and it is very hard to get some of these brands that you guys are talking about without having to pay twice the price just for postage and currency rates, that's pretty much the only reason kicker is appealing. Secondly I have a Ford Courier 1990 XLT so I'm trying to put the sub/s underneath the rear bench seat (going to have to cut it out and weld a frame in there first), this is why the CVT12's were an option because of the shallow mounting. To be honest I just want some solid bass that is definitely noticeable, and i do know that the box used is a big part in that as well. So do you guys reckon kicker subs can pull that off or am I wasting my time with them? Cheers everyone
  3. Hey I'm trying to squeeze some audio into the rear seat of my truck, I think I can get away with about 2 cubic feet of room for a box in there but I don't know whether I should install a 12" Kicker L7 or 2 Kicker CVT12's. Together the two CVT's have 800RMS where as the L7 has 750 but I'm sure the L7 would go harder when hooked up in a vented box. What do you think the better option would be or does anyone have any preference or any experience with these subs? Also, would I be better off getting a zx750.1 or just using a zx1000.1 but not with full gain? Cheers for the help Sac
  4. Okay thanks everyone, I have the wiring down, but I think I might ditch the ID10 idea and go with 2 Kicker CVT12's. These have 400rms each, so what power amp should I be looking at? A zx1000.1? Also would I wire these the same way because I think they are SVC not DVC. Thanks again.
  5. So using that diagram, the amp would put out 500W and how much would each sub receive? Do they get half each?
  6. Cheers for all the help guys, so I'll look into a 500.1, and then how would I wire them? If you could tell me which diagram to use on this site, http://www.crutchfield.com/S-tMR3myMVvJe/learn/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html then that would be great. Cheers, Sac
  7. I have had to re-do my sound system after selling my sedan and buying a Ford Courier truck. The old sub and box was too big so now I am looking to get 2 Image Dynamics ID10 V.3 D2 and integrate them into the rear bench seat. The stats on these subs are as follows: Recommended RMS Power: 100-300W Peak Power Handling: 400W Impedance: dual 2 ohms They are DVC's Now would I be better off buying one mono amp such as a Kicker ZX750.1 (750Watts) and wiring them up so each sub gets around 320Watts each? (If that's even possible), or should I look into buying 2 smaller mono amps and giving each sub it's own amp, OR, just buy a 2 channel sub and give each sub it's own channel? Any help would be much appreciated!! Cheers, Sac
