I want it if no one else grabs it.

Best bet would probably be to call all local shops and see what they have.

I have a couple sundown saz-3000D's if your interested.
-
I got a little over 13 cubes and your port is tuned to 34.09 hz with 189 sq in.
-
I have a Kinetik hc2000 used but rests at 12.98 and cash

Good to have you, welcome.

My new build is underway now. I need 4 more AA Mayhem 15's or matching motors to recone.
-
everyone that PMd about rules should have them now, if not let me know.
good luck to everyone at the show, i hope to see plenty of vids now. i had to have an emergengy root canal yesterday and now its either pay for my d3100 or gas to the show. since i need the battery more than i need testing i will be staying home for this show.
please get some good vids of bass boxing for me and not just the cars, i want to see how its all done please.
I know there are some guys coming from Ohio, see if you can hitch a ride with them, you could be the designated video taker.

im running 1/0 and ground is on frame. amp turns on with my head unit so i know theres power going to it. it lights up when its onChecklist:
[ ] Does the amp go into protect?
[ ] Do you have a multi meter??
[ ] Does the amp have power - verify with multi meter
[ ] Does the remote wire turn on - verify with multi meter
[ ] Do the RCAs have power going to them - verify with multi meter
[ ] Do the outputs on the amp have power going to them when turned up and speakers disconnected - verify with multi meter
[ ] Check subwoofer impedance at the amp with a multi meter
[ ] Do your subs read some bizarre ohm load - verify with multi meter
I really wish the like button worked.
What size wire are you running, where is your ground?
If this is the case then the problem is in your amp or RCA's, or subs. find some random speaker and hook it up and see if it works.

I'm still working on how to operate Audacity.

For competing its all about 30 seconds of music. I know there is a thread with songs by frequency, but not for 30 secon lengths. I specifically need a song with a 45 hz tone. If we get enough songs maybe even a pin. I'll go back through and change the layout for songs if this gets a good response..
The only one I know is:
Juice Box - Gorilla Zoe, 38 hz.
-
yep and it's a 1x so you can get points for the season.

I could possibly go. I got 3 hdc3 10"s in a uglyyy temp box on 2 1200d until i get some time off from college to build a final box and seal off the trunk and get a 3000+ amp.
If I went do you guys think I could compete in anything with my ugly temp setup? Or could I possibly get it metered? I would go for that just to see what Im at now
Come on out!
They helped me out greatly. I never did any metering but everyone out there helped, gave tips, lend out iPods and CDs.
They also were gonna help take my subs out in the cold weather!
X2 its also a great way to see some really nice builds and get demos.

what's your pre-out voltage on your headunit/what headunit do you have? gain at 3/4 maybe a reason why.
Line driver set at 4v.
I understand that a DD-1 is important, hence the reason it is in existance, it is on my list of things to get, I didn't plan on doing subs and amps first but when I have an opportunity to get the 3000D's for $400 a piece and the mayhems for $400 together I can't really pass it up. So I put the build in motion and here we are I'm not trying to be arrogant or a know it all. But I really don't like it when people are rude. This is more like a sport to me than a hobby, I am here to learn, when I am wrong I will admit it and show humility. Therefore I don't like being judged based on little information.

so you can buy 2 sundown 3000s 2 mayhems all this other equipment batteries 2 alts and you cant get a dd1 or an o scope?
Soooo you don't have to be a douche for 1. Secondly I haven't gotten around to buying a dd-1 yet, or my H/o alts, head unit, good 4 channel, mids and highs, rest of batteries, wire, suspension, wheels, etc. I'm still in the middle of my build, basics are done now i'm upgrading. Amps are turned 3/4 of the way up. and all levels on head unit are 0 or below to prevent clipping the best I could.
A dd-1 is something I would use once and then it would sit in the shed for a long time. Kind of a waste of money since I don't do anyone elses builds. So it is not high on my priority list.

Bump, it's coming up!!!!

Go to your nearest hardware store, spend a few bucks on a multi-meter and follow these simple directions to protect your thousands in equipment:
I have a very good Multimeter, but I don't think it's a very good way to tune. I need a dd-1 or an osc.
-
Uhh clipping?
what subs? what amp? what's your electrical like? how did you tune your system? by ear, guessing, not at all, DD-1, O-scope?
How old are your subs? only reason why I ask is after a couple weeks I played mine at full and they smelled for a lil bit then it was all o.k. after that. I put it on a dd1 right before i went full so I knew it wasn't clipping it was just breaking em in. Now they play great even at full for longer periods.
.
I've already been through the break in phase. Subs are sa mayhem 15s and amps are 2 saz3000ds @ .5 ohm. 2 stock alts, 2 kinetik 2400s and a 2000. Tuned by ear cause I don't have the equipment to do it properly. I'm sure I'm clipping that's why I try not to listen to it maxxed out.

Last night I was playing my music full tilt. After about 10 mins I started smelling voice coil pretty strong. I turned it off and left it till this morning. I played it TorY at low normal volume and everything works fine. So I decided to turn it up and after about 5 seconds I could smell voice coil again... It still feels and sounds fine. What happened?
-
This is a good question. Since batteries are rated at amp hours what is the ratio of amp hours to wattage or amp load?
-
First link your 4 kinetik's together in the back. Run 1 positive from your alt to the back batteries, and 1 positive from your front battery to the back batteries. Do grounds the same way.

Sounds like it would be more feasable (SP) to run all vehicles off of a single source unit with many rca's and y adapters and a few line drivers. And compare. Metering would be sketchy though unless you did something like metering and 50 ft. lots of ways to adjust scores to. Sounds like fun but there are too many variables to consider.
