  1. It is a wedge, front facing the driver is 28" tall, where the sub and port will be, and slanting back toward the hatch glass is the other height that is 16". the face that the sub and port is on is 32" wide. the depth of the box going from front to back. is 40" all of these dimensions are to the outside. I just thought I would be able to build a wedge install the sub have a big azz port the install a beauty panel to seal off the airspace behind the box.
  2. I am trying to design a wall in a wedge shape, for 1 18" mt dual 1.4. should be seeing around 5500 watts. I need some help with the design though. My dimensions are as follows I have (2) height dimensions, from where the sub is mounted will be 28" tall and the back will be 16" tall, the enclosure will be 32: wide and 40" deep I want straight spl or hell maybe even a little bassrace it just depends on what you may be able to come up with. BTW this will be installed in an acura rsx hatch, small area, right now I have a crx design sub up port back hitting 145.1 on the TL. I need it louder please help me guys
  3. no pictures of it yet, I want to get everything ironed out. the sub is firing up and the port runs all the way across the bottom firing towards the back. the reason I was actually asking the "local" stereo shop hat a show the other night and I metered 156, two weeks later same everything, I ran 146, I love competition but when they try to change the meter to let their systems they installed win, well you know hhow that goes I am sure.... either way got a little discouraged so I was just trying to come up with another design to be able to beat their meter no matter how much the messed with it to try to make me lower in score than their installs. I have heard the Ac180 can be adjusted,,,, top 3 last week all were running RE....they do not sell RE so all three of us dropped 10 DB , ALL 3 OF US. Last week 1st place this week we did not even place. sorry to ramble on. thanks for taking the time steve, again you do great work..
  4. (1) 18" MT with 5500 watts, in an Acura Rsx type S (hatch) type box, any suggestions. I havenot been formally been metered yet, I currently have 5.5 cu ft box tuned to around 32HZ peaks somwhere around 50 HZ local Audiocontrol 180 meter said I hit 156, only when I had 2200 watts, new amp going in this week.
