cops have no lives...
Texas Tech replied to Amalan's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
I just got pulled over for having an expired inspection sticker, i ahve never even been pulled over once before this. The cop was a dick and said about 3 sentences to me. Asked to see my license, then my insurance then said he is pulling people over for expired inspection stickers. Thats all he said to me. He pulled out of the parking lot after he was done with me (which took about 2 minutes) and pulled someone else over. I see why people hate cops now, i used to think they were okay people but not anymore. He could have just given me a warning. I wasnt even aware of the sticker because i have never had to get it inspected before so i didnt even know. Well now i do. -

Big 3 for 100amp Current Draw?
Texas Tech replied to Chris's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
how does a 90 amp alternator and a red top battery handle even 90 amps drawn for only your amp, and everything else in the car?(90 amps, half of 180,we will say 50% of the rated power your amp is pulling since music is dynamic, i saw that on the RF forum) -

Texas Tech replied to Texas Tech's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
If i jsut replace my battery right now and get a yellow top and then an additional yellow top to put in my trunk, should the wire connecting the batteries be run through the firewall and through teh car or under the car. -

How to wire multiple batteries (two)
Texas Tech replied to Texas Tech's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Hey megalo i didnt quite understand the part on the diagram pointing to battery 2's negative. It says use negative from first battery or ground to chassis. I dont understand that part. -
How do you wire two batteries, one under teh hood and one in the trunk. Do they have to be the same brand? A diagram would be great. Do you have to fuse every single power wire? I have heard something about solenoid isolators or something i dont know, but you dont have to use one? Any information on this would be good

head unit for only one set of RCA cables
Texas Tech replied to Texas Tech's topic in Head Units-Processors and Eq's
so it does create more RCA outputs, you just have to change the wiring of your speakers. So you would have to take the speakers wires out of the wiring harness and put them into that. That is pretty cool i think i am going to get it just to check it out. Should i buy that exact piece the Scosche. -

head unit for only one set of RCA cables
Texas Tech replied to Texas Tech's topic in Head Units-Processors and Eq's
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-W6UNU2O93eN/c...o&i=142AMYC#Tab It says this is used for splitting one channel into two. So when would you use this? If your Head Unit has only one set of RCA output you couldnt take two of these and put them in there so now you can hook up 2 RCAs? -
head unit for only one set of RCA cables
Texas Tech replied to Texas Tech's topic in Head Units-Processors and Eq's

head unit for only one set of RCA cables
Texas Tech replied to Texas Tech's topic in Head Units-Processors and Eq's
never mind it has one input and 2 output (rear and front) so basically this is for installing speakers without the use of an amp -
head unit for only one set of RCA cables
Texas Tech replied to Texas Tech's topic in Head Units-Processors and Eq's
so that link is basically like for a headunit with one pre amp output (only has one set of RCAs for its output). So like you would take It and connect the RCA's to the input then you can connect up to 4 sets of RCAs on the output -

questions about alternators
Texas Tech replied to Texas Tech's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
man i got a 90 alt max amp right i read on ROE (not saying anything just saying i was reading so please dont even say anything about ROE besides if you think if the information i say is correct or not) that 40 % of your alt can be used for your system, so basically multiply .4 time your alts max (90 amps). That equals 36 amps (even if the equation is wrong, i am just saying it is 36 amps). Anyways, currently i am pushing only 2 P2's with the T3002 and i am having problems with dimming. Now ofcourse, i dont have a new battery or upgraded the big three, but spending is not a problem, i have been saving up money for my car for a while and i dont ahve a problem spending it on an alt, even if i dont need it. I might go with 2 T1's, but i just dont want to have any problems at all. After adding the 2 amps for speakers and an extra sub that will go in teh back part of my middle console, i dont know if i can pull another 600 watts RMS for an amp (and that is without efficiency added into it and all that good stuff). I am going to email Irragi today and see whats up, but judging from their ebay online store, it seems like you can basically jsut buy the alt that fits your make and model and your good. -
