  1. Cutdeluxes1 what sort of bracing are you doing that will take 1.5 cubic feet?? also if you are doing 1.5" wood all around why you have it set to 0.75?? That number for the bracing is what torres all ready had in it. I used .75 to get the outer dimensions of the box, and them Im going to re-inforce the outside of it with .75 wood. So my air space and stuff wont change, just have to keep it in mind for the port length. atleast that is what i figured.
  2. ok, that puts my tunning at 40.06hz, port area at 162.75 with 18.04in2 fer foot and net volume at 9.02 with 21 inches of height. or... Tunning at 38.66,same port area but with 16.79in2 at 9.69 net volume... which one is better?
  3. I was planning on doing double, but couldnt get the numbers I wanted with the limits in outer dimensions. all of these scales are with .75 instead of 1.5 for wood thickness. the box will be attached to a false floor, and is also double baffled so that gives me top and bottom. then I was going to add a piece to the port face and rear, and brace from left to right.
  4. oh yeah, good catch. It doesnt chanceto much, but i did change the port with to 18 so i can have 144in2 of port area.

  6. I think I got it. with .25 displacement and some port changes I have ideal numbers except for port area (which is 152in2). net is at 8.81, 17.25 cubes per foot, tuned at 38. Dimensions are 21x48x28, port is 8x19x18.
  7. Well from the website, the box should gross 9.00ft3, with 144ft3 of port area at 18 inches long. The FS for them is 38 hz. Ive taking everything into consideration except woofer displacement. Cant find what it would be for 2 15's. since it will change the tuning and port area, should I aim for prime specs, are tune low and let the displacement put me in the ideal tuning? So far I came up with this: HxWxD 21x48x21 Port:6x18x18 which puts me at GV of 10.23ft3, PA per foot-17.03in2, tuned to 39.38HZ, but only 108in2 of port area. suggestions?
  8. Max dimensions are 21X48X21 in a tahoe, sub up, port back. if anybody wants to design one. Plan on starting the build as soon as possible.
  9. <xBoxHeight>21</xBoxHeight> <xBoxHeight2></xBoxHeight2> <xBoxWidth>48</xBoxWidth> <xBoxDepth>21</xBoxDepth> <xBoxDepth2></xBoxDepth2> <xPortHeight>8</xPortHeight> <xPortWidth>14</xPortWidth> <xPortLength>16</xPortLength> <xNumOfPorts></xNumOfPorts> <xPortDiameter></xPortDiameter> <xSubDisplace></xSubDisplace> <braceDisplace>1.5</braceDisplace> <xBaffleThickness>1.5</xBaffleThickness> <xCommonWalls>1</xCommonWalls> <numOfBaffles>1</numOfBaffles> <externalPort></externalPort> </Data> This is what i got now, with .75 wood thickness
  10. I thought the port was big, but i dont know how to make it smaller and keep the tuning high. im looking for tuning between 36 and 40.
