  1. I just got notified that this town is now accepting applications for part-time firefighting. I can't wait! I'll get to experience the brotherhood that I'm sure you two had. :drinks:

    ^^Time and place.

My family's prayers go out to each lost in the line of duty. I'm sorry you had to experience it first hand. Let that motivate you that much more to be a teacher to someone else like he was to you. Thank you for all you have done.

  2. depends how much in town stop and go driving you do as that is alot harder on your vehicle than 55-75 driving. i do mine about every 3-3500 with full synthetic mobile 1. I know of some people that go for about 10-12 k and just change there filter and add a quart of oil every 3 k.

Changing the filter out each time instead is interesting. But I really don't do a ton of stop and go so I guess I'm fine the way I've been going. I'd rather not chance something that is so cheap to do and go longer haha. Thanks

  3. That also brings up another discussion. I currently change my oil every 4 to 5k and I drive on the freeway much more than I drive the streets, 45 minute commute one way to work, school is about 20. When I drove my dads truck a while back, he had me change it every 2k, he towed a lot so I'm guessing that's why. My buddy changes his trucks oil every 20k! It's shocking to me.but he's got 200k on his Harley ford 150 and he drives it very hard, lot of street racing. So how often do u guys change oil?

  4. The navigation I have on my phone is excellent. I almost feel like having a nice double din touch and a google Android or iPhone is better investment than a good quality navigation hu. You certainly will have a larger cleaner navigation setup but to me, it personally isn't worth it. You also can only use the thing in your car. I can take my phone and navi in my gf or buddies' cars and use it.

Edit ^^ I definitely regret not getting.a hu with Pandora

  5. It seems Kevin has had some customer service issues but I think he has realized that is what makes companies great and is focusing on it now. The company is expanding and producing amps soon. I'm interested to see how the company progresses over the next year or two.

    Thanks for the introduction Steve!

We are glad to be apart of the SMD community where we hope we can help get more information about SKAR out there to the Car Audio world!

Wrong 916er ha ;). But I think it was a great move on your part to come here. There's a large community here and a lot of people are curious about your product but haven't heard or seen it yet. Welcome!

  6. I don't think you should give up so easily. The hobby is often frustrating, and yes it is expensive, but so rewarding when it all lines up and those long, boring drives become some of the most enjoyable parts of the day. Hit up the manufacturer and troubleshoot some more. You'll be bangin soon

  7. That I don't know. Im just sharing how I solved my problem that is sort of similar. Perhaps you should send the manufacturer an email or call. Something surely isn't right, whether its on the amps end or install end, who knows. I hope you can figure this out, its always a huge kill joy to have new toys that don't work.

  8. Hmm that's pretty odd. This is from the bolt to the neg batt terminal? If that's what it reads you have to switch it. You want a ground that has zero resistance. Should read 0.000. Try some other locations and post your results

  9. Oh I meant checking the resistance of your ground location to neg batt terminal and not the voltage. This is something you can check with the car off. You probably will have to use a jumper extension wire for one of the probes. How exactly is your wiring layer out?

  10. I'm sure you have done this but have you double checked all power and remote wiring? Have you checked your ground with a dmm? Recently I had a hard time getting mine to power on and I didn't check my ground until then. I saw it had some resistance, I figured that seat belt bolt would be fine but obviously wasn't. I switched to a bolt right next to it that had zero resistance and fixed my problem
