im not gonna be spending "like 5 dollars"... I just would like to see how it goes. Everything is car audio is trial and error. You never know how something is gonna sound until you test it out. Maybe it will work and sound great or maybe not and it sound like shit. Im just saying someone has to try doing something new. please dont call me cheap.

yeah but the ones that arent peaky do they get as loud on the same amount of power as ones that are tuned to be? also I dont think i could get a good 4th order in my trunk for 2 12s. i dont think.... yeah probably not. since that single 15 blowed. but my system is pretty solid all around. it was extremely peaky at first then i just brought the tuning down and had some more port area and just a little bit of tweaking and it just brough the peak down but still pushing the same loudness yeah i hope the 12 4th order turns out better than the 15. even though i like it because it louder than everything else i have had. haha

But arent 4th orders that can hit a broader range of frequencies not as loud? i have a 4th order now tuned to a small range to hit really hard on those... so a 4th order tuned with a wider range will have the subs peaking evenly but not as loud... thats what i thought... correct me someone if im wrong...

I just was working on a box design for 2 lvl 3 12s where each was individually ported for different frequencies. Similarly to what Tech Force did in one oh their builds but on a slightly smaller scale. haha Tell me what you think each is 1.75cubes before displacement (.15 for each sub and .1 for 45s) 1 is tuned to 29hz and the other is tuned to 35hz. each with 14sq inches of port per cube. I talked to TechForce about his design before i started this one. To get some advice from someone who has done this. And he suggested less port area the better. Also he suggested to tuned each about 6hz apart. What do yall think..?!?!?

if you wanted it to look good. and patch it up. i bet you could glass the whole cone and then sand and paint it. i bet it would look good.... But would it affect the working of the sub? it would make the cone stiffer i would say thats about it. and most kicker subs have a super stiff cone as is.

Umm yeah i didnt really ask a good question.. lol.. I mostly wanted to know what to look for. I know nothing about HIDs i want to get something that will fit in my stock housing and I dont know what HID harness, error eliminator, or adaptor cables are and if I need them?

im not sure. he wants to have a listening room. AND record himself to see what he sounds like i guess. I dont think he is planing on making music on CDs or anything like that. mostly for listening and practicing....haha

ok well i never ordered it. i just was wondering. what do you think is good for a basic home audio system? nothing crazy just want a good SQ set up. My dad wants to record his vocals. so i would need a good mic too.

i bet your wife fells terrible. I had a friend who began having these random panic attacks and his doctor took his license for 6 months with no attacks. He had to get rides from anyone and everyone to work and home and what not. He always felt really bad about us giving him rides. im just saying dont get too mad at her, she probably feels awful as it is.

Thats just a stroke of bad luck man. and you know what they say. Any time you have bad luck, good things are just around the corner.

ok well are Pt series Pa amps good for mids and highs? i found what looks like a good amp for the price. its a Pyle Pro PTA1000. i wanted to know if its any good. also the room is probably about 15x15 or close to that. I dont know for sure which room my dad wants to put it in but thats like the smaller room. the other room i can think of is probably like 13-14 x 20 or so. He wants to do some recording with this set up as well. so he wants a laptop, mic, and the whole system. so i would need to connect the speakers to the laptop.
