  1. The Infinity References run at 2ohm, for 70 bucks, i was thinking about just doing that. But still open to suggestions, i wanna hear what you guys have.
  2. Ill be running them off the stock amp thats already in there, i believe its the bose amp as well, for now, i dont mind paying about $50-75 for a good pair, i know ima need a lot more highs to over power the beastly fi, as of right now my sound in my car is great, beyond what ive ever heard in any other car with stock speakers. When people get in they look back to see whats in the back and when they see nothing the first question is, are these all stock? So im looking to replace the the dash with whatever is gonna sound as good if not better, im not gonna pay 35 bucks for a pair that are gonna just fix the open space in the dash. I dont mind paying an extra 40 for a decent pair, and as far as the whole upgrade, im just trying to get the system outta the way to have some bass, as of next summer ill be doing 1 more 18 and 1 more aq 3500 if they still make em, so during that point ill work on all the speakers along with amps to power them. For now im just looking for speakers that will fit directly in the 4x6 space, no converting, at this point not worried about that. Like i said if someone sat in my car they wouldnt notice the diff with the speaker not there, but i can..So of course im willing to pay for the better brand, i heard the kappa series is a beast, but i also heard the reference can easily do the trick as well. Ive eliminated Alpine off my list from research and reviews of others, so were still looking at Ininity, Kicker, RF. And as far as turning the treble up, anyone who knows anything about car audio knows when it comes time to settings for subs/speakers, to let the speakers do the work, not the deck. Edit* Still need to find out what the amp puts out, dont wanna run 4ohm speakers if its made for 2ohm, one reason i cant do the RF T Series, ill try to take out center council tomorrow to see if i can find model number and specs for amp.
  3. Alright guys I need some advice. Ill be throwing in a FI 18 running on an AQ 3500 soon into my 02 Blazer. And to go along with that one of my tweeters on my dash went out. I guess in the xtremes they come stock with bose systems, and dont actually have 4x6 in the dash, so anywho, i need to replace them none the less. Not to worried about buying door/back panel speakers quite yet. So my question is what are some decent speakers for a decent price. Remind you these will prolly only need to put out highs and mids. Bass isnt an issue. So let me know what you would buy for under $75, or a little over. I was thinking about either doing Apline Type S, Kicker, RF, or if i wanna watch my bank account get drained i might just buy the infinity kappas. So let me know what you think. *Also if anyone knows, what does the stock bose amp run at, 2 or 4 ohm?
