Hehe, 2x Level 2 sealed where my first choice, but before spending money I thought I could ask

I listen a little of everything. Hip Hop, Techno, Rock... I do like low bass in hip hop, but if I have to chose, I prefer to get good punch on techno and rock and other style that need it.

Hehe, I know. but I don't need to do 160db and impress everybody. I just want a good and strong bass. But I see Level 3 ported recommendation is 1.5cu. ft. I think I have 1.2cu. ft. for my actual sealed box so it's perhaps less big than I previously tough

I just want to be sure that 400rms will be enough to move them... In a test build some years ago, I have tried to drive a Rockford Fosgate RFR3110 (10", 1000rms) on a 600rms amp and it was barely moving ! If I don't plan on upgrading, does those level 2 can take the 400rms? For the ported vs sealed, I know Ported would be better, but as I said, I still want my trunk. I know ported box take a lot of space. And I've never messed around with ported box so sealed one are a lot better to do. I also feel sub in sealed box have more "punch" but I don't have listened to DC sub before so I can't say...

Hi there ! I'm new here. I've found this forum in my quest to find my new sub. I currently have an Phoenix Gold Ryval v8001 (1x800RMS @ 2Ohm, 1x600RMS @ 4Ohm) that drive 2 Phoenix Gold XS124DVC (12", DVC, Fiberglass cone, 250RMS) in a sealed box. Thoose big boy are running since 1994 One of them have stopped working so I think it's time to upgrade. I was searching for good 12inch and found DC Audio on a couple of post here. I want to keep something as loud or louder than my current setup. I don't plan an amp. upgrade in the near future. I Will drive them in a sealed box because I still want a trunk ! My question is, Should I buy 2 Level two 300RMS that would receive 400rms each, or should I go with two Level 3 600RMS but that would only receive 400RMS each? Perhaps one Level 3 or one Level 4 could be enough but I doubt... I hope someone can point me in the right direction ! Thanks (Sorry if I have weird phrasing and mistake, i'm french)
