Oh nice, I didn't know you did this, this is great and I just brought a 240amp alt for my VW the other day I'm really glad you guys give to the ones who need it.

the electricity knows where to go. let it do its thing. for 1500rms the alt and d3100 is more than enough. for 6k get another d3100 and you is fine. yuou could probably pull it off with 1 D3100 and the alt for a burp but dont try bumpin I have a yellow top battery, should i use this as my starter and put the d3100 in the boot, or d3100 as starter?

Thanks for that Nathan, I was just wondering what happens to the extra power from the alt if the battery was fully charged. was guessing that the the alt gets all the load put onto itself, Or is the alt not always charging the battery unless the battery has dropped voltage?

Just wondering if an single D3100 would be okay with a single 320amp alt, or would I need another battery? or would a 240amp alt be better option, Dont really want to run another battery if possible.

I dont care about when the car is off. I dont listen when car is off. Its a 99 VW Gti has only got a stock 90amp alt. Looking at getting a 270amp from mechman but unsure if I would make a difference in the lanes due to only doing burps and not bass racing.

I under stand getting a new alt would help with voltage drop, but will it make my db go up as I dont need the voltage to stay high for long periods of time only for 2-3 seconds.

Drops down to 12.6volts with 6000rms burps for 3 seconds Its in a mk4 vw golf. So do away with a high ouput alt and get more batteries

I only do burps don't do any bass racing so would a high output alt help me in anyway? or would getting a xs power charger and running 16volt battery in the back be a better idea or anything else out there that would help get more DB. Running Standard Alt D3100 2x 12" atmoic apx 2x 3000d E-Audio amps Dual Box 6" Port. Doing 151db.
