  1. I am making my first gun purchase hopefully this weekend. I have shot my dads and friends weapons but been saving up for my own and I have been researching and the Glock 27 seems like it would be perfect starter and daily carry, since I plan to get my concealed weapons license.

My dad has one of the standard size glocks not really sure which one just know it was fun to shoot but not something I would want to carry around daily.

If you want a real comfy daily carry 40 look at the Glock 23 its smaller than the fullsize 22 but a lil larger than the baby 27....i carry a 23 for daily and also as a duty weapon for bail enforcement and wouldnt have it any other way

Thanks for the recommendation. Will definitely check the Glock 23 out.

  2. Wish I could but MECA world finals is only a week and half away. Got to hold on to it until november since our 1st show of next season is oct 30th. But then its upgrade time :)

    Good luck sir.

I just looked at your signature and noticed your running your 5K off of a stock alt, a XS D3400 and D2700. I plan to check out your youtube channel when i get home but how is your voltage looking?

That gives me hope bc my current stock electrical is struggling. I can barely roll up my power windows it seems, haha.

Any day now my DC Power Alt should be in, I already have 1 XS Power D6500 and 1 XS Power D3400 at the house. And waiting for my second XS Power D3400 to come in. So thats will be about 8000 watts of reserve power in the trunk.

  4. Just the other day ebay had 3dc audio amps 2 5ks and a 175.4 same guy sold all three. I got one, 5k at 635 shipped the other sold for over close to 700. And the 175.4 slipped out of my hands at 200. e would have bet more but Didnt have enought for both amps. Man I sure did want that 175.4 :(

Keep your eyes open on ebay :)

A DC Audio 5k for $635 shipped, whhhhhaaaaat. That sounds like a listing that was created by a pissed off :aggressive: significant other, haha.

  5. who sells 5k or 7k used how much

I assume you looking for DC Audio 5k and 7.5k but used would be hard to find. If you want these used that all depends on Rusty and his team to come out with the next best thing. I have noticed with DC Audio people only sale them for one of two reasons: 1. Financially they have some kind of personal hardship or 2. Rusty and his team just created a more power amp and people are selling to upgrade.

Not saying it doesn’t happen but you don’t find many for sale threads of people giving DC Audio for no good reason. There was actually a 5k up for sale a few days ago at a beautiful price because the seller needed more power and my decision not to purchase still haunts me to this day, haha

  6. Okay, thanks everyone. I guess I was hoping to find a cheaper place to buy it. But I'll probably just end up ordering from them. :drinks:

For stuff like wire they are as close to the basement as you want to get (unless you just go with welding wire). Remember that you are dealing with metals which have a fixed cost. If you find cheaper wire it will more than likely be sub-standard at best.

True you not going to get much cheaper and if you do find wiring that substantially lower price than the average price, most likely quality will suffer.

I also looked into the welding wire but one thing that to keep in mind is that this wire wasn't designed for audio install, so you would have to ensure it was protected properly from heat. I decided why risk it vs spending a few $1 more per ft.

  7. I cant put one aspect of that above the other. the least important is aesthetics but if im doing a nice install I still want it to look good.

    x2

I cant imagine anyone buy something strictly on looks. An appealing looking product would only benefit the seller to get more exposure.

If the products look nice people would natural create their build so they were displayed, if the products were crappy looking they would create their build so you wouldn't see them.

  8. You will definitely need an extra battery. So I would suggest an extra battery first and look into getting an HO alt down the road.

Also if you check out DC Audio's website they give you their recommendations as far as electrical. I think its an HO alt, 1 battery in the truck and 1/0 gauge runs from the front to the back, and a volt meter. But I am sure some people that run DC 5k my be able to give you there input.

As long as you electrical can support it, I have heard nothing but great things from DC Audio. Will there be a build log
