  1. And btw next time you should search the forums BEFORE you buy lol, and look here here before you "upgrade" to anything else kicker. There are much better options, especially if you decide on the brz1700 as your amp Wow. First off, You wanna how how much i paid for these things? yeah wanna know? New sealed in the box? 50 bucks. plus 7 for shipping. I dont know about you but in todays economy thats better than getting "OHG WAY BETTER SUBS LOLOLOL" that cost like 600 bucks. Second, Learn to have a sense of humor or non-literal mindset about everything. i know nothing in this world is indestructible, i mean they are tough compared to alot of other subs in the same price range. And you want to know who told me that they could take a hell of a beating? by using the forum search function. I mean atleast for my first system ever you have to admit at least im not a complete idiot and asking the right questions and know what all the terms mean and what knot. just wanted some opinions on some matters. Im not mad, if you are i apologize. just trying to thoughts on the subject that i am relatively new in... How would i keep that hifonics amp from clipping? Make sure the voltage doesnt drop? Because isnt clipping where the amp creates a sound wave that goes past the amps capability and it turns into square waves that arent sound and just pure power and it makes the voice coil heat up rather quickly? I think i will go with the BRUTUS. If i set my gains correctly i wont completely blow them up and then if i ever get the urge to get new ones i already have a big amp for further upgrades. So to be clear. Im not saying that these comps are so amazing, im am stating that they are for the LOW END MARKET. obviously a vr or vrx is WAYY better but i only payed 50 bucks for 2 in a kicker box brandnew. sorry 57. So do you understand my point of view? LOL i know 200 bucks worth of speakers isnt that great but im not trying to show off or this isnt my hobby, it is something that isnt important, more as a toy to me. no need to be all perfect and this that and best kind and what knot......
  2. You guys think that 300 watts RMS to each one is too much? I heard that they will take one hell of a beating. And that's if i plan on going with the hifonics. You guys really think the Hifonics amp is a crappy amp and wont sound good at all? I mean, im only 19, so i prally wont be able to tell a difference and i would LIKE to keep these subs for a long time since i have alsoread that they are like freakin indestructable. but if i do upgrade ill get sometihng like 2 cvrs or cvs's...... Any opions on the BRZ1700.1?
  3. guys you are all WRONG. I bought these FROM KICKER. these are the box and subs together. i think the name was 07dc124.... google that....... anyway i HAVE A FINAL IMPEDANCE OF 4OHMS. Kicker zx450.2 or Hifonics BRUTUS BRZ1700.1?
  4. read the fist post. 2 2007 kicker comps, 12inch single voice coil. both are wired together so that they present the amp with a 4ohm load.... I did read the first post, but since you are asking this noobish question I have to assume you don't know how to match impedances either, so I just want to make sure you get the power at the right impedance. So in other words you have 2 8ohm svc subs... or 2 2ohm subs wired in series. see im not dumb. lol and chill, its a no bigie. we all friends here....
  5. read the fist post. 2 2007 kicker comps, 12inch single voice coil. both are wired together so that they present the amp with a 4ohm load....
  6. do you mean like, the gains on the amp and what knot so no distortion? And which amp should i get? The Kicker ZX 450.2 or the Hifonics BRUTUS BRZ1700.1 amp? And my kickers are wired to a 4ohm load......
  7. i have two kicker comps and they are 07 12inch. If i was to get a hifonics or kicker amp that producees 600watts RMS or 450 watts RMS at 4 ohms, and each speaker get the according wattage, would i blow these things? i have heard that kickers take one HELL of a beating.................
  8. so i hooked up the pioneer to them today and played with them. purely amazing. the older style is so much better IMO. Im loving the ported box as well, screw sealed boxes. But when i turn it up pretty hi, i think the amp starts to clip or something, or the amp runs out of power because when i had a wimpy amp hooked up once it made the same sound when i turned it up. so i think im gunna get the kicker 450.2 Anyone else know what this sound is? and its not the speaker bottoming out cause on some frequencies when its loud it hardly moves sometimes. I think the amp just isnt powerfull enough, im also debating weather or not to get the hifonics brutus 1700 watt one. at 4 ohms i get 600 rms watts. yum So what do you think? kicker of the hifonics? clipping and not enough power on the pioneer?
  9. So what do you guys think of giving these two comps 225 watts each with the kicker Zx 450.2? Or any other sugestions?
  10. and i accidently got the amp watts messed, the pioneer is 380 and the kicker amp is 450. So you guys think the kicker amp is the better bet? cause it gives each sub 225?
  11. Ok so i have the old style kicker comps in the kicker ported enclosure. the part number is 07dc124. Yes THIS IS THE OLD STYLE speakers, contacted a warehouse and they gave me a great deal on them. So i am trying to find me the best banging amp possible. So far i have found: Kicker Zx 450.2 Wired to 4ohm load ~380 Watts RMS Pioneer GM5400-t wired to 4 ohm load ~450 Watts RMS HIFONICS BRUTUS 1700 watt amp wired to 4 ohm load. ~600 Watts RMS I know that kickers can take one hell of a beating, so which amp would pound hard enough for me? Should i get the hifonics amp and then make sure i dont have the gain turned up? or you think these speakers would handle 300 watts RMS fine and shouldnt wurry about it and get it. Or get the kicker amp and then each amp gets 225 watts. Or keep the current pioneer i have and let each amp have 190 RMS watts each. I dont want to blow them but i have heard they take a huge beating and i just dont want to but a to wimpy amp or to powerfull amp......... And load on the alternator, im already getting a new one because of interior lights and exterior neon lights that i will be running so i already and ordered a new alt, so power consumption isnt a concern. now i would like any amp suggestions to be under 250~300 bucks....
