what amp do you suggest?
-
I have two kicker dual voice 12's that are 400 rms 800 max each they are wired down to one ohm here is what my box looks like with the subs
-
the ZRX1500.1 says it does 1500 rms at 1 ohm how accurate is this or should i get a different amp with a lower rms
-
so is it worth buying or should i go with something different I've heard that Hifonics does close to their power rating i have my subs down to one ohm and they can handle 1600 total max what should i go with?
-
I'm looking to buy a Hifonics Zeus ZRX1500.1d. What are the pros and cons to this amp?
-
Yeah my solder job wasn't much better than wat was on it first, it's just a blob of it on the back.
-
Just an update, I got the ground fixed and now it works thanks for the help guys

Has anyone seen a 4 channel Majestic amp before?
-
Does it need to just be soldered to the board in some way?well the wire should be going through a hole in the board for it to pass through, and get soldered.
i dont really understand what you mean by it being in line with the silver trace thats there now. just put the wire in and solder it.
thats a really fucked up solder job right there, so try not to duplicate that lol

Yeah I can't find anywhere online that even has a pic of the older 4 channel Majestics....how rare is it or is it rare?
-
ok but how exactly do should I do it?
edit: ok should the solder be in line with the silver like it is now? or does it matter?

not at the moment i will as soon as i can though

I just got on trade an older Majestic 60 watt 4 channel amp. The ground is bad on it but it comes on then back of. The amp does not have the screws for the power ground and remote like newer ones it just has an opening that has the wires coming out from them. Can this be fixed? Am I even correct that the ground is bad?

Thanks man I have my subs wired down to 2 ohm and the BRZ1700.1 (what I was looking at buying) is 1200 rms at 2 ohm. Will this make it distorted since it is a 1700 watt amp?I'm thinkinf about buying a Hifonics Brutus. When you get it in could u do pros and cons of it? I haven't heard too many bad things about it.
My experience with the Brutus:
Pros - produces very close to rated power, very stable, has operated at a .5ohm load for a quick minute without blowing, amp protect works very well when a speaker blows or if there are wiring issues.
Cons - induces slight distortion around 1500+ watts rms during operation, fins are sharp (cut myself once), angled 2awg +/- input makes things a little tricky, bass knob cuts the high pass at 30hz.
Just my 2c. :]
