Not to be a dick but its a lot of beginners that sant to go big at 1st with no idea what it takes to go big.. its like drag racing you want to drive a funny car on a street class budget and knowledge. Don't get me wrong I'm all for promoting the industry and I do so with advice at every show and on the forums etc. But when you install this and if it doesn't sound good and something blows please don't bad mouth the product etc. We all have said you don't have the electrical and probably no experience in wall building.. if you want to be loud you should be asking what box and what size subs etc.. 80% of getting loud is box my friend. So good luck to you. Be willing to learn and not so stuck on 18s are the biggest so must be the best.. there are a lot of people louder than me with 10s 12s and 15s and I do 155s
yeah. after reading all the post about the elecitrical and wall building and my car not lasting i think i am going to stick with a trunk build kinda like SoundStream Bil off of YouTube. he has 4 12's and it looks good. and is loud!

2 XL 18s on a AQ3500 walled will get loud. Just look at J00bles...

Would a saz 1000d be a good amp choice with the type r 15 wired down to one ohm. I have heard it can handle 1000 wrms like a champ.

Is there anyway if I put a alpine type r 15 in a ported box. Could I put it in my back seat and will it still sound loud or should I just keep it in my trunk?

It's good to have but not needed. You do need to study for the test. It's not just about amps and woofers, it's relays, alarms, diodes, etc.
Is that all in the study guide? Or will I have to teach my self?

Is the MECP hard? Has anyone taken it on here before. Should I take it. I want to open my own shop and do some nice installs. I am 17 right now and I know more on car audio and how it works than probably anyone in my town. People try and I win. So what do you think. Would it help even?

Op you need power to make power... 1 alt and big 3 isn't goin to do it. 2xls and 1- 7.5
If you have to point out to him that his electrical is quite insufficient, don't you think a DC 7.5k is a little much for him to try to put on a pair of XL's?
But really, less subs, less amplifiers, more electrical.
Sorry didnt finish.. op do as many batterys as you can at least 3 - 3100s a good 270a alternator and multiple runs of 0g. I think 1 amp is easier to wire and 2 5ks is too much so 1 7.5 is perfect. I run 3k daily each to my xls off of 2 amps but I'm switching to 1 to see if I gain

why not 4 lvl 5s on 4 aq 3500s? that would work out nicely..
and that saves a ton of $... compared to 8 amps..
you dont have to run stupid power to the subs to get loud, i ran 1 7k to 3 lvl 5s and
was pulling 55s on music at the head....
4 3500 isn't that a bit much why not just four 2200?
you said 8 2200s, but think 4 3500s is to much?

Well me and my friend we have a competion. He is the loudest and I am second I don't want to be second. He is walling off his ford escape from the trunk to the back seats. With one 18". So I have to be louder and I have never had an eightteen so I want an eighteen. And i want a wall

I was going to run 8 amps one too each VC but I didn't know if I could do that with the XLs and keep them from blowing up.

Which one should I use? I am walling off my 1998 ford contour. From seats to the trunk. And putting all the amps in the trunk on some kind of rack. So four 18" XL's or 4 18" LVL 5's. This is for a daily driver but I will be trying very hard to get some nice big trophies. Amount is no problem.
Also will be putting a new alt don't know what size yet and big three very soon. Amps AQ 2200. 4 or 8 of them. Don't know yet.
