Ok. With the port Where you have it placed it will be firing under the passenger side rear seat. From the rear driver side door(closed) I can use 36". So there is roughly 28" from the port to the rear passenger side door. But the seat prevents making the box any wider.

One question. Is the port area a little small. It looks like 13.6 to me. But I'm not real confident in my knowledge of what proper port area should be. From what I've read shouldn't it be around 15-16?

Damn that is exactly what I was looking for. And I am only using the 60 side of the the 60/40 split seat for the enclosure. And I talked with twistedchild420 and the owner of dad and they told me 6 cube. The subs are 500w rms with a fs of 27.6htz. Those are all the specs I have on them as of now. I will swing by there shop in a few hours to get more info. Thanks man.

I am planning on running 2 Dad kmh 15's. I will be powering them with 1000w rms. I am having trouble with the box design on torres. Im looking for 6 cube net with a tuning of 32htz or close to it. My max dimensions are 36w,32h,18d. I really appreciate any and all help.

It looks like those subs would work best in a 4.5cube sealed enclosure. But you should be close for ported. You are already unhappy with what you have already. At least with aeros you should be louder.

I've been wondering the same thing. Hypothetically 1 15 rated at 1000w vs 2 12s rated 500w a piece. Given each is in proper enclosure and both powered by same amp at same ohm load. Which do you choose???????

Thanks guys. As far as measurements I can go 36w, 20d, 40t. I'm 95% set on going with a DAD BD 15 rated at 1000w rms. The amp is a Rockford T-1000 bdcp. As far as a goal I would say SQL leaning more toward SQ over SPL.

I have a 2012 chevy silverado crew cab. Thinking of taking out the 60 of the 60/40 rear seats, and doing a single 15 ported. My question is what would be the most effective sub and port placement. Sub up, port up ext... I haven't decided on what brand of 15 yet. I have around 1000w of power. If that matters with sub and port placement. Thanks for the help.

This build is awesome!
I really like the air tunnel for cooling down the amps. I would like to see how much it helps. I bet your hands where tired after threading all those holes. Even if it was aluminum, that's a lot of holes. I had to tap one hole to put an O2 sensor in, and it was through steel took about 30 minutes for the one hole.
One question though. Since you used bed liner, and it has a texture. doesn't that effect the air flow of the box? I know you rounded off the corners of everything, so the bumps from the bead liner would make the air turbulent, and have an effect on the sound.

Those could very a little. the height could stretch up to 25 or 26", with the top Shrinking to 4 or 5".

16" bottom, 8" top, 23" height, and 55" long. But im only 5'8" so having the seat forward a little is where i would normally keep my seat anyways. would 1.5 cubes per sub really be enough air space for the 12s?

I am tyring to decide on either 4 re se-x 10s ported or 4 re se-x 12s sealed. I have around a little over 7 cubes to work with. Also its going in a single cab 03 dodge ram.
