Yea and I saw spl2k had 8 15s in an f250. I know anything is possible. I'd just want to go with what would be most effective and good for daily.

I sure hope floor to ceiling is more than 24"

lol I may do some freaky shit, I don't know. I may go off and do 16 10s or some shit. Most reasonable right now seems to be 8 12s

I haven't seen inside this truck and really don't know how it compares to my 2000 silverado but 12 cubes seems a bit low. It WILL be walled off. I don't want to do 4 15s but may end up with that.

Serious time to consider, when I get the money to buy this truck I'm going to get a bit extra to order some "parts" I need to know how many and what size I should use in my new truck. 98 GMC 1500 ext. cab DC LVL 4s would be my woofer of choice and 4 ZX2500.1s would be the amps. I want to do 4 18s, but is there a better combo? 12 12s? 8 12s? IDEAS!?!?! Pic:

This question has been bugging me for a while. I know most of you would say cone area, but do you guys prefer more of a cheaper woofer, or fewer of a quality woofer. This question arose when I was planning an older build. I had a choice between 4 l7 15s ported or 8 CVR 15s sealed. Like I said I prefer a quality woofer and would rather (now) have 4 18s (lvl 4 or 9418s) than 6-8 lvl 2-3 or 35 12s or something like that. HOWEVER, another question I bring to you guys is: what are the benefits of both and the negatives of both. I know with more cone area (number of woofer wise) you have a better efficiency and more heat displacement. Idk, also try to assume same power (amp wise)

Which Powermaster batteries should I run with 2 ZX2500.1s and 1 zx850.4 Currently have a 240 amp alt, run at 14.7 volts, and I am replacing the starter battery.

idk yet but the pyramids won't be in the new truck, i'm going to get the seliniums and midbass to match and do a custom door panel for those.

hahaha, yea and the wiring is all ghetto looking. It is highly temporary. When I get my 18s back i'm gonna put em back in that 16 cu foot box but instead of firing forward i'll turn the box firing up. also that 8in stinger fan i got from darvex is a monster at keeping my zx2500.1 cool to the touch

well long story short, i took the 18s box out while i'm shipping the 18s back to rusty and put the 2 15 in l7s box back in with the 08 model l7s in it. EXCEPT instead of firing forward i mounted the box firing backwards about 5-6 inches from the highly dynamated back wall. Needless to say it hits PRETTY hard. So the box is fairly close to the seats, as a quick install, i mounted a piece of 3/4 mdf about 22 in long and 8 in tall at the front of the box and the 2 tweeters are mounted in that wood. Needless to say the tweeters are ear level about 8-10 in diagonally away from the passenger's and driver's ears. me not having much experience with supertweeters and bullets yet think they sound awesome, of course i still have much to learn about them.

Installed them mounted on my box. Two of them. They are approx. 8-10 in from each person's ear. They SOUND GREAT. Very clear, very loud. My bass can still get over them, but it is WAY better with them.

I'm putting seliniums in the new truck i'll get in october, i plan on getting the appropriate xovers and mids to match them, i really just want to get the feel of how the larger tweeters sound.

is it that bad?

yea i know, a guy local is giving them to me brand new and i'm looking for a cheap way to boost my highs till i get my new truck

Well I'm going to go pick up some pyramid 3" 400 watt tweeters and i plan on splitting them off of my 6.5" door speaker line which is running off my Eclipse ea4000 (100x4) amp. (the 2 6.5s and 2 tweeters only thing on amp) Now tell me all the reasons this would be a bad idea.
