  1. ok i currently have two 18" Fi Q's. im looking to upgrade (spl wise). i can get the DC XL's two for $700 used w/ new baskets and reconed.... or just buy the BTL's loaded off FiAudio for normal price and shipping (around $1200). I WANT NO BIAS answers! obviously they are both great so what im a gaining from either? {{15^3 box ported to 30 hertz in my ext cab. and looking to power these off either one DC 3.5k or Crescendo 3.5 both @ .5 ohm since i have they juice for it}}

  2. That's not near enough port area for a 15 cuft box..... Give me your dimensions on the box and I'll give you some suggestions....

Edit: if you are at 15 cubes then you would need something like 12 4" ports to be in the right port area range....lol that would be super innefficient imo. Maybe more like 5 6"?

    Or 3 8"

yeah i wwas thinking that. . . this is just a "first run" box so im still experimenting.

  3. ok thanks guys. . . and also, my subs are bottoming out on me now anything below 30 and im wanting killer lows in the 28-23 range. tips on achieving this? i have four 4in PVC pipes, two on both sides, cut to the correct length (based off 12volt.com). could it be the amp? box? port? . . . . .

  4. ok i got two 18" Fi Q's in a 15cuft box in my ext cab. tuned at 30hertz. i am running them off one Alpine MRP-2000 at the moment (which is 2000 @ 2 ohm), but I wired the (dual 1) subs in series-parallel for a 1 ohm load, which is 'unhealthy' for my amp. So whats the best one amp set-up for my system? or should i get another alpine and wire them at 2 ohms a piece to separate amps? really wanting a single amp setup though (and may possible upgrade to BTL's later, so i need some extra POWAA down the road!)

  5. 1. Product: AGM batts by C&D and DataSafe, big and small.

    2. Specs:

    14x C&D 100MR(30% higher ah than HC600) - 26ah, 21lbs, 12.7V, 3yrs old

    6x C&D 400MR(ah similar to HC2000) - 102ah, 77lbs, 12.7V, 2yrs old

    40x DataSafe 150RFR(similar to Batcap 2000, quick discharge rate) - 34lbs, 13V, 3yrs old

    3. Description/Condition: used

    4. What you are looking for: looking for 2kw+ at 1ohm(or 4ohms). Sundown 2k would be nice, but everything will be considered.

    5. Pictures of your item for trade:

    i have a alpine mrp-2000. the birthsheet read 2450 on 12.6 volts

  6. BTL's will be okay on that amp, how many are you getting?

well i have two q's now. so it would be just replacing them with 2 btl's. same box and amp (one amp). those amps bench test around 3800 watts thoough.. or at least thats what the salesman said from the company

can these things be wired down to .5 ohm? if so.. whats the watts at it?

  7. your box is too big for the power you're giving it, that is my opinion, secondly, how many SQIN's of port do you have? I've ran the 08 model BL 18"s back in 2008, they were great drivers and from what I hear and understand now, the current model BL's are just flatout TANKS.. G/L and I think people are going to ask for box pics, so you might want to go ahead and post up some pic, we are all pic whores here

ok i will get some asap .. but i have four aero ports 4 in diameter a piece. so how will two BTL's do on my amp?

  8. ok i currently have two 18" Q's w/ (

cooling package) at the moment and cresendo bc3500 ran in series/parallel to 1 ohm. i got a buddy willing to buy them, and i was thinking about upgrading to the BL fully loaded or BTL's, with maybe just the cooling... is it worth it? pros and cons for options?? (btw, i have two yellow top bats, one h.o. alt, big 3, and 0 gauge across the whole system, 15 cuft box, ported at 30 hertz, and its in a ext cab truck sub forward)
