  1. Oh yeah my bad man it's all good
  2. I have room for 15.5" deep x 17" tall x 36" wide so I think I have room. I got one designed by one of the box guys on here
  3. Why u gotta hate man? I wouldnt run the pioneer off the AQ obviously it would just go boom! Haha Thanks to everyone with a quick answer I guess I'll trade it out to someone local who doesn't know any better cuz honestly that pioneer should be terrible but somehow it being where it is it doesn't sound bad.
  4. So I have a 12" shallow mount pioneer right now in my 2003 Chrysler sebring convertible and the sub and box fit under the folding top tray in the trunk so it takes up virtually zero usable trunk space. It sounds pretty good and I am impressed by how well it performs. But I've been on this forum lookin around and so I just have to add on! Damn smd and it's members awesome builds haha. So I'm going to add a dc level 4 15" with an AQ 1200d and imma make my own box for the first time. So my question is should I leave the shallow 12" in since I have room and I'm pleased with it or will it sound bad with the combination of 2 different subs. I've heard people says don't mix subs so I'm not sure. Opinions?
  5. Yeah my bad it's in storage all winterized and I can't find any pics of ours but those pics are pretty close except all the fiberglass is black.
  6. Just thought I'd post this since I'm just browsing around. This last summer we bought a 2005 moomba xlv wakeboat and let me tell you. It kicks ass. Holds 16 people so everyone can come out on the water and watch. It kicks out such a great looking wake too when you fill the ballasts and use the wakeplate. Wakeboarding is completely different now compared to riding behind our old 2001 crownline (not a bad boat by any means but just doesn't put out the wake that an inboard does). Wakesurfing was new to me this summer since our crownline couldn't make that kinda wake (and it was and I/O which would be VERY dangerous) it was really easy to learn and get the feel for it too. If anyone is thinking of switching from an I/O ski boat to an inboard wakeboat DEFINENTLY do it. We have 4 6x9 pioneer speakers on the tower, 5 pairs of db Polk 6 1/2"ers and only the single 10" Sony xplod sub (please don't laugh ik it's bad) it's a free air so I can't find a whole lot more that will be much better and we need the storage space so putting in a box isnt an option. So what do you guys think?
  7. I believe you measure the length down the center of the port. I think I read that on JL's website Ps. JL has a nice tutorial about box tuning and stuff on their website
  8. Bassahaulic: cool good to hear something good about the yellow tops Ps. Its not 2000 my bad it's more like 1600. Do u think that one under hood would be good enough for that? Cuz adding another battery in the back = more $ in the actual batt. wires, other accessories ya kno?
  9. Oh thanks freshman thats kinda what I was looking for as to WHY the yellow tops r better. Thanks bruh
  10. Yeah xs is def better but I could only afford a d975 and I dont think that would be enough :/ I also found a dif brand called deka has anyone heard much bout them?
  11. I need a new under hood battery and I found an optima red top that I think would work but all I've heard of is people using the yellow tops. Can I use a red top with 2000 rms and big 3 in 1/0 and a run of 0
  12. Yeah man and I wasn't tryin to be sarcastic or anything Always gotta be friendly on the forum! That's why smd be #1 woot woot! Haha
  13. Yeah that would be good but since it's a convertible I don't have a rear deck cuz that's where my top folds down into :/
  14. Ok cool that's what I had heard so I'll just have it both backwards where do u think I should put the ports? Like one towards each corner? With one corner with none. I have to have a 90* bend in the PVC so I can't put them like right next to each other
  15. 2003 Chrysler Sebring convertible. Wait I'm going to use 3 4" PVC ports so should all ports be on the same side?
  16. With my lvl 4 15" that I'm using for daily should I fire back w/ sub and port (box in the trunk) or sub back port forward? Sub forward port forward? Which one of them would be louder and not sound like crap?
  17. So each of the 3 PVC tubes are 23"?
  18. Where do you get 3.4 cubes? Or are you saying that's what I should make it to?
  19. Thanks for the help again! Im really lost at where to begin
  20. I got asked a guy (XtremeRevolution) on diymobileaudio dot Com to model a box for a different 15" sub but I changed my mind to the dc So really I probably need a new design but this is the second thread I've asked about a box and ur the most help I've got so thanks! I'm just kind of overwhelmed by how to start a new design. Should I use a 6" PVC? Or would larger be better?
