Depends on how long your pounding for. Also if your running head lights, a/c, heated seats, and so on. Might be about to get away with a few batteries but I would get a alt to e safe. IMO

I'm going to be running 2 Fi BL 12's with 2 Batcap 2000's and a DDm2a amp. Will an alternator upgrade be necessary? I believe my alt is 120amp? What can go wrong if I do not upgrade, what are the consequences.

If you are set on these 3 then I'd go with the DD. Get the quality well made product the first time and you'll be more than happy.

I was looking at that as well, but the DD just seemed like a better choice than the 2200d.

theyre pretty much both the same exact amp. but the DD is made with much higher quality internals.

I don't understand the basis of your question. And methinks that no matter what is said here, you're looking for cheap anyways. Don't waste time and get cheap then.

You can not compare any of the amps against each other and the differences are a long list time inefficient to state. I mean, there have been no mention of use, electrical, drivers, install...

I'm looking for something that's around 400-450.00. I'm putting it up to (2) Fi BL 12's and just want an amp that would power it best. I'm stuck between the two, and really can't decide. Sorry, I don't know that much about car audio, I'm still trying to learn..

I'm actually looking at that now. It seems good and all, but I need to know if it'd compare to like a M2a, etc.

I actually have the Bl's now. They have an 18 inch magnet in them cause they were 18's re-coned to 12's.

Yeah, that's what I was told. I didn't think it made much sense. I'll just say they were 18's but they got reconed to 12's. Disregard the magnet part

The sa's are cheaper, but like others said they will handle tons of power. A few more options you could look at are the obsidian 12's (almost identical to SA's) or the skar vvx-12 series... You should be good on electrical but just do some research, there's plenty of good brands that will make you happy
