  1. Looks amazing, I think you could of charged more, just a little more touching up and i'll look great
  2. it will be 600 Watts EACH, 1200 total, and I will find out max depth and length when I get my car here in a few hours. I can't see it being to much of a problem. Also, I don't understand how to use the torres calculator to be honest.
  3. Hello, I am planning on getting 2 sundown Audio SA-12's and I need help with the box design. I know alot of you guys are rocking two of these and I was wondering if you could give me the design! They will be getting 600 watts rms and they will be going on the trunk of my honda civic coupe. It will be hard for me to make it fit if it's larger than 15" high, by the way.
  4. So Big 3 + Small battery in the back is the winning option? Sounds good! Thanks guys! I appreciate all your guys' help!
  5. Thanks! I'll def. do the big 3 then. And you do suggest a new battery under the hood? or no new battery under the hood?
  6. So you are suggesting doing the wiring upgrade called the "big 3" in the video posted by Adam, and getting a new battery under the hood?
  7. Thanks! what about a capacitor? are they useless, or should I grab one?
  8. hello, I have a question, as I am still newer to car audio. I want to know when I should get a second battery or a cap, at what watts. I have a 600 watt system right now, but at christmas time i want to upgrade the amp and subwoofers to about 1200 watts RMS. Will a need a capacitor or a second battery for this new setup? my battery right now shows no signs of having trouble taking the 600 watts RMS at all. Thank you for your help!
  9. Ahh Thank you, The picture helps alot! I appreciate both your guys' help, Thank you both! I now understand more what im looking for
  10. Thanks! How would I wire it with a dual channel amp? So positive of channel 1 too the first subs positive then negative of the second channel too the first subs negative, then what?
  11. Rep as in reputation, what each company is known for. So these will be long lasting subwoofers too? Also, with a two channel amp i want both subwoofers too be 4 ohms correct?
  12. read my post Sorry! I missed your post. I'll email DC for information. Thanks for that information. One question, what are each companies rep? For DC, Fi, and Audioque. They each seem too have similar reputation each with their own users. Or am I completely wrong?
  13. You need 1.25 PER sub, so total of 2.5 cubes after all displacements Ahh yesh that's what I meant, 1.25 per. A mostly saw sub's needing larger boxes for ported, do you know what tools I would need too create a box? If not, know any good brands/ customer makers of boxes?
  14. Alright, thanks! A 1.25 Ported box volume for level 2 DC's, that seems very small, is that what you guys would suggest, same as the website? Also, what tools would I need too build my own box, I would love too, Just don't think i'm capable.
  15. Honestly I've checked out DC's before, but I can't find anywhere that sells them, and their arent any local shops that sell DC's. Do I email them for price quotes and such?
  16. I plan on trying too find a nice custom box, as I do not have the tools to create my own box. but yes, I plan on getting a new box also.
  17. yeah bridging an amp is essentially just combining two stereo channels into a single mono channel. however when you bridge an amp, the lowest ohm load you can run doubles. so 2 2 ohm stable channels will turn into 1 4 ohm stable channel. bridging will combine both channels' power, hence why 300 x 2 turns into 600 x 1. Ahh Alright, thank you! Right now it seems like two votes for the Audioque's, one Fi. Any other input? If their is another brand you would reccomend for the power I can push please let me know!
  18. I was planning on keeping the same amp, so bridged would provide more power? Thank you all who posted so far!
  19. Hello all, I'm looking for some advice on subwoofers, and I am wanting 2 12"s. Right now I have a "starter setup" that is a t600.2 Rockford Fosgate amp with 2 12" JL W1 Subs. I want too upgrade, so I want too ask you guys who are much more knowledgeable in the subject for help. from what I hear about this amp you can have it push 300 RMS bridged, and 200 RMS regularly connected, is this true? I don't know much about impedence yet. I'm looking too keep the same amp. Anway, here are some options i'm looking at: 1. 2 FI X 12"s , These seem too be a good choice from a reliable company. 2. 2 Diamond Audio D3's , I hear they have amazing sound quality, so their a possibilty. 3. 2 Sundown E series (when they come out) I've heard nothing but good things about sundown. 4. 2 Audioque Street Duty SDC2.5 12" D4's, Another product im looking at. These are all just ideas I seen or I was recommended too one. If you guys think a differant set up would be better, please let me know! I'm new too car audio and I want an upgrade. Another option I was looking at was 2 sundown SA - 12"s paired with a sundown 1200D monoblock, but that would cost a decent amount more. Thank you all that help me decide!
