  1. i got everything all fixed. my remot wire was shorting out at one spot in it. then the next day my amp started doing it again, i found that the ground i had was constantly shorting for some reason and had melted and corroded the wire really bad, grabbed another wire re-did my ground do a more secure location and hopefully it doesnt happen again

  2. so i think the rca inputs on my amp have fried, i unhooked my amp last week to pull my box out and paint it and when i got back to wiring it back up as soon as it sees power my subwoofers just start thumping. i have a cresendo bc2k and 2 skar vvx12s, i have replaced the rcas twice since this still does it, i have changed the grounds 3 times, idk what else to test, the left rca input look a little messed up on the amp today i noticed. when i looking into it the black piece that separates the ground and the positive on the amp was not there so i pull that face of my amp off and saw that it had somehow been pushed back so i pushed it back into the input where it belongs, didnt help anything, anyone have any tips/suggestions ? thanks

  3. That doesn't look like mdf to me. I wasent knocking your build bro but that looks like particial board not mdf. Cause mdf is not made with flakes of wood. Mdf is a realy fine saw dust like material. Particial board will not handle sound pressure like mdf will. But it is cheaper but there's is a reason its cheaper than mdf. But from what I see in the pics you got your self a particial board box mot mdf. Its hard to realy tell the thickness from the picks but it don't look like 3/4 but more like 5/8 maybe

well according to the signs at lowes its 3/4th inch mdf, maybe it looks wierd in the pics

  4. I would give them 2ft each and tune to 32-34hz...port in center all firing forward...seal it off from the trunk...I ran 2 15s back in the day sealed box sealed forward from trunk in a 94 cavalier and hit a 148.4 that was before fold down seats...LOL

haha nice man! so 2ft per sub, 4 total, or 2ft for 2 together, so 2 total? and what 15s did you have and what amps? jw

  5. So 4" port that's 6 inches long is practically NO port area per foot. And what's tuning frequency is what 50 Hz? I'm not sure those current type R's are sounding very appropriate at all.

maybe, this is the first box i have built and its before i even started researching on this site and learning. the calculator i used said that it was tuned to 32 hz, i don tthink they sound bad tho, they hit pretty hard and sound better than anyone system ive heard around here, but people around here also have zero knowledge...
