how can you not use birch...
Damn no menards here. I'll definitely check home depot. But I'll more than likely just stick with mdf. Thing i hate about it is that is splits so easily on edges.
Predrill all your holes and stay a minimum of 3" from any edge and you shouldn't have any splitting. Oh and make sure you center the screw in the edge your putting it in and drive it in straight.
I had probobly 40 screws in my last box and not one split anywhere.
How can you stay 3" away from any edge?

Lowes birch sucks anyways. Search for lumber yards near you that carry 13-ply baltic birch.

The problem is a have to clear the fuel tank hump to fit the 18's and enough cubes. I have 38"x38"x42" to work with. I calculated the over all volume out to 23.77 minus all the bracing that will have to go in. Plugged that number into Torres (desired gross volume) and came out with this port setup for just under 30hz before all the bracing gets figured in. I'm worried the awkward design might lead to issues? I don't want to waste too much time on the math if its hopeless.. you know? The subs will be Skar 1.5k's fyi.. Anyone see any glaring errors? It's my first time trying a box the isn't straight up rectangular.

yes.. dunno bro but same here.. btw gain knob on my 4.5k skar is backwards (on the actual amp)... seamed same with 100.4.. I loved the 100.4 sundown amp and never really needed it turned up past at least what I thought was 1/4 gain... Sucks tuning to keep my amp safe turned into no amp at all..
I had similar thing happen to my amp when tuning with the DD-1 the other day, I tuned it all at 0db. Whenever I started to hit clipping, my amp started making a high pitched noise(which I still have no idea what it was) but I was finished anyway and it still worked fine. Haha. I think it may be the DD-1s??
