  1. Can be any colour you like as long as it's equal or larger size than your power cable, my earths are blue :). Also make the earth as short as possible. How long is it?

    i have about 30cm left, i dont know how many that inches that is for you yanks.

    anyway if i change the earth that running from the amp to the body of the car, do i need to change the one thats running from my battery to my car body?

  2. Ok, if you're not already a member, check out the link in my sig and sign up to those forums and you can ask there. There should be heaps of places to get your car metered. Either that or you can drive all the way to Perth to use mine :P lol

    I hope I'm not violating any of this site's rules by posting that link, if I am can I mod tell me and I'll remove it..

    will do mate, thnx 4 your help :P

  3. B)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Eric B @ Dec 29 2007, 11:45 AM) 220237[/snapback]</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->600 watts to 2400 watts is a BIG difference

    2x my lil bro is pushin just under 2500 watts to a Orion HCCA 12.4 (my old system). And it hits alot harder then that at volume 20 out of 62... his trunk flex is pretty serious and 1/3 volume, and he doesnt even have the power upgrades to get 14volts out of battery... theres no way ur pushing 2500 watts rms... exp to those subs

    i didnt ever mean 2500Watts RMS i meant 2500max, anyway its still pretty good, i cant imagine your guys systems ahahah they would fukin blow your eyes outta their sockets :P

  4. i definitely go by bigger is better. when i have all the equipment i want, ima do a run of 0 ga to each amp. your old power wire was 8ga? my speaker wire is 8ga :) glad you upgraded tho

    yep im glad to, cant wait to fiddle with my amp now that i have the new wiring, im unsure off the speaker wire i have running from my amp to subs...hmmm.... makes me curious.....doesnt say on the wire, might just have to go buy a roll of 8GA speaker wire, very handy :P

  5. the comp i'm building now is gonna have a dual quad core, 8800GT (maybe GTX), 3 gigs of ram, surround sound card, tv tuner card, water cooling kit. might update the HDD. getting a new case too. keeping dvd burner/rom drive. altogether i think it's gonna come out around the 1k mark. not sure what'd all that cost retail. just an idea of what ima pay building it.

    for you people that dont know wat quad core, 8800gt/s/x's are, they are top of the line computer parts, i mean TOP of the line

  6. I dont fully agrea with your first statment. While dell and hp provide warenty and "tech support" they are still a lot more money part-for-part compaired to building your own rig. Now if you wanted somthing on the very low end, around $300 then dell or hp would probably be your best bet. BUT if you want something a little faster maybe midrange or even performance, then DEFF build your own. Its way cheaper and way more fun to learn.

    it is cheaper to build your own pc, as dell put cheap parts in it and put a big price on it, so you look at wat dell are selling their computers for, go onto a computer shop site and put those parts in shopping cart and it will be cheaper on the site hence build your own pc or charge some asian shop to put a good pc together for you

  7. thats my system at the moment, good but not good to my standards, u hit bass, u must hit fukin hard :P lol. anyway updating my system soon as dat holiday pay comes in :P

    part.2 this is b4 i put the 4GA wiring in so hopefully it goes better, now i can play with my amp settings a lil more without the protection light coming on with the shitty lil 8GA wiring
