All the connections are tight, but everytime I hit a bump or tap on the dash it kicks off or the lights go dim.. Wtf
-
Switches an knobs are going on the console between my seats /:

Hmm, I have this 4x2 space in my console that the upper models have temp guages in, that is just an empty place and idk what to put there to get rid of it being so empty
-
They are supper cheap lol may be fun to grab an extra set of pillar panels and see how they work.. 4 bucks a set for 24 bucks total then like 10 for the extra panels..
-
I was thinking about my highs and mids, then I found some cheap 1 dome tweeters on eBay.. What would It sound like with 4 in each pillar and 4 in the overhead console for a total of 12 vs just 2 good ones in each pillar?
-
IMO do the big 3 and put the yellow top in the back and call it a day..
-
If your voltage is dropping then yea, it'll help out, do you have a battery in the back?

the more y splitters you add (more resistance) (read higher ohm load) the weaker your signal is going to be. test it by removing the 4 channel from the mix, IF you get sound, this is your problem. The quick and easy solution is to either A get a line driver. B (the better option in my opinion) get a equlizer with a higher output or C get a better head unit with a higher output (preamp) not wattage
Basically what I said lol, just more in depth, for this exact reason I purchased my eq, it has 7v preouts

My last truck had the reg burn up in it so it started charging at 15.2v constantly.. Was pretty awesome in my case but it burnt up soon after due to over working itself
-
Take it to an alt shop.. They should be able to test it and see exactly what is wrong, it's its just a faulty regulator it would prolly be worth the 30-50 bucks to have it in workin condition just in case
-
Kinda sounds like a bad voltage regulator. Is it internally regulated? If so when it gets hot it could just have a faulty signal
-
Damn.. Kinda sounds like you cut the signal down to much, and the amps aren't picking it up... If you have a 2v out and cut it that many times it's down to like .5 and usually a h/u doesn't put out the full amount unless its at full tilt sometimes not even then..
-
Okay I'm kinda confused.. To clarify there are three amps, subs out going to sub amp, and the other going to the 4 ch, you split the RCA near the amp and ran one of each split to the third amp an it had no sound..
U ran the rcas directly to the third amp and it worked?
-
You try hooking the amp strait to the deck to make sure it even works? And my deck has 1 set of outs so spend 50 bucks on an equalizer.. Has sub front and rear outputs..

Just get the pipe off eBay an custom make it to fit.. Very easy.. Just buy a decent filter.. Cheap eBay filters are actually constrictive and don't last for crap.. But on a stock motor, no bolt ons, a good exhaust is still gonna Yeild the most gains.. Just my .02 cents..

I got sketch up to work, and I got the basic box but the angled front in making for a bitch to make the port.. The measurement of the port opening in the face is larger and it's pissing me off.. Everytime I think I get it the port is somehow off a measurement.. Maybe someone could help if I sent them my file.. I've been on it litterally all night..
-
I didn't mean to cause all the fuss and confusion.. But I'm trying to keep the box under the head rest.. Local cops pulled me over when I had 2 18s in a wall and kept giving me tickets for blocking my windows.. Fucking haters..
Anyways... I think I may be able to figure it out.. But what if I did the "45s" in the port? How would I even go about that?
-
Its taking the place my backseat of my ext can truck, only options are subs port forward, subs up port forward or subs forward and port up...
-
Box is angled to go along with the seats, gotta make the most of my room without turning it into a wall..
I can change it from 1 to 2 common walls and nothing else will change...
And where did the 14.92 come from?
-
I added another pic to give my drawings more reference

Fixed post to be alot more specific
I'm going for something very close to this

So I think I figured it out.. Does this design look good? And if my front is angled how to I measure the port length? Front facing port and subs.. 4 15s... I would throw it in sketch up but I'm on my phone.. I want to put the port at the top center.. But do I measure from the top bottom or middle to figure out what needs to be 20"
Edit
So I drew it all up and when it comes to the front being angled I dunno how to get the length.. And I thought about doing an angle inside the port like a 45 instead of strait 90.. But would need some help to incorporate that into the design... This would be much easier with sketch up but my comp froze up and won't turn on..
Do I measure the center like the dotted line to be 20?
