Alright thanks, it just makes me mad, I was trying to order everything this weekend after I get paid, so I would have subs amp, alt bracket and everything all around the same time. Now I have to wait even longer

Well I just made my account.. That may be my personal problem, I always used my moms where as I don't want to fool with it, then this week I decided to make my own where as I was selling stuff, and buying subs from skar as well as amps and misc stuff, thought it would have been quicker to have my own on hand.. Which I suppose wasnt the best idea..
Or maybe it's because I haven't verified my account where i added my bank account and havnt yet checked my account for the two small deposits?

That's gay, well I still think its bs, it's my money and I need it.. But hopefully when it gets to my buyer he can confirm the package delived and that it is exactly as I said and sent pictures of and they will release it..

I received payment today for one of my amps, and then i get an email saying they are going to hold my money for 21 days.. Is that even legal?

how about you get the other sub and swap it out... that way both will have play time and you dont need to stress the amp then when you have money to properly install them with the right amp you can do so

Thanks man, I just finished filling out and returning 14 apps yesterday so hopefully I can stick one of these. Just to hold me off a bit I've been advertising on Craigslist for box builds. Every once in a blue moon I'll get a nice fiberglass build and that'll last me about a month. Being broke does have it's benefits though, I've learned how valuable money can be and how to really spend efficiently.
I understand that, I've talked to the dean from the school and it seems to be worth every penny, so of you end up going that in itself will help you out tremendously

Dang dude, I wish you luck in all your efforts, I lucked out with a security job.. Advanced auto fired me cuz I was late and was "stealing" money from registers and taking merchandise, when a week later the caught the man taking 800 bucks from the safe.. Go figure lol

Designed and built this for a buddy's truck an it gets nasty low and has tremendous output compared to the ported box I made for another friend.

I understand your hardship, I have aprox the same income right now, paying for a house, and support my wifey (has no job).. So I alone pay for Everything.. Alon with fundin my truck.. Quite the task, but parents said they would take care of my bills and expenses here if I actually provided means of gettin in and paying for it.. Soo my fingers are crossed for my trip to sbn this year

I will taking a tour of the school come the time I head down for sbn, I gotta crunch the numbers and see if they can help me figure out a way to afford it.. If it goes thru I will be staying at my parents summer place in southern daytona 15 min away..
Oh yea this school is $9700 board included or 8900 without board.. Only downside

Single 15 setup still seems to be the best option for you, and you me times upgrading later on, so why not get a good 15 that will hold more power than you will be running and when u decide it's not enough all you will have to do is all more power.. Granted it will be the slightest amount less than a woofer at max power, but the lack of excursion at low power seems like a nice trade off for upgrade possibilities

Sorry for thread dumping dude, lack of sleep has made me sorts cranky.. But the Alienware platforms are alright, the specs on them are good, as said before gaming computer will need quad core and at least 6gb of ram a huge hard drive and a very large graphics card..
But remember every 9-10 months hardware starts becoming out dated so what u get now may not be opinmal by next year.. So spend your hard earned money wisely

Dang I could build a gaming desktop for around 1k and still have a decent laptop to use lmao that's my point.. Don mean to be a duck about it, but what is the real purpose to having games on the go when most of the useful content is online for one which is hard to utilize on the go, and is it really needed to go to a friends house and play a game instead of hanging with said friend??
Sorry someone please enlighten me on this gaming laptop top thing..

Soo, lemme get something strait, you said in a ported box with the port directly behind the subs the air would escape without pressurizing the box, I got that, and it would help to cause over excusing and such case mechanical failure of the driver...
But in a band pass box isn't it the idea for the sealed sided to help control that so that the ported side can more efficiently do it's job, with having to tune low to be able to play low without much worry?
So my overall point is with the subs that far away from the port in his sketch how would it not pressurize the space at all before it left thru the port? Even if it does escape some without pressurizing it to full extent isn't the sealed section going to still yet do its job in helping reduce the chances of mechanical failure resulting in a still yet more efficient enclosure than a simple ported one?
I'm kinda tired so words my not be as clear to you guys as they are in my own head but hopefully you get the point

Same company or not it's still the same IMO, it's like saying should I get a Chevy Malibu or a Chevy silverado? Same brand totally different products
That said gl on whichever you choose I hope my advice helps you narrow your choices down some,where as I would hate to see you put all the work into making that box and end up choking the woofers and not being satistfyed as I have been many times before

Why does anyone need a gaming laptop? For as damn expensive they are you can build a massive gaming desktop to run on a large moniter and still buy a regular laptop along with it.. Just my 0.02¢

First this thread is kinda pointless where as it is a vs and will more than likely be cluttered with arguments before long as they all do.. And there are to many opinions to really get anywhere
Second no matter what anyone says its your choice in which you choose, any of the mentioned subs will do you well
All that said, 18s are out there is simply no enough space, 2 12s are pushing it I personally say 3.5 cubes after displacement will be to small for those as well, one 15 would enjoy being ported at around 3-4 cubes, so that would narrow it down quite a bit..
I have heard the Q and the BL and from my personal experience I would say the Q would be more suited out of those two
Between the Q and the SSD I Cannot say because I have neve heard or seen the ssd in person, but judging by specs I still favor the Q

Whenever the rogain takes affect on my balls.. Not enough hair lmao!!! On a serious note, I got a little more bodywork to do.. Ima cut the bed as the last thing before paint as I dont want to mess up a fresh paint job..
And I hope to got they don't screw me.. If it passes 21 days I'm gonna lawyer up I guess
