cant you just do box 1 with port and subs both facing back?...measurements look like there is room to do it..dont understand why you wouldn't
also...why is it that everything somebody says will give you DB gains is always in 3db increments?...that should be your first clue that is more of a guess than proven!

yeah...its looking more and more like I will probably just go with the SA8s....they should do the job...and I can always add another amp and a 2nd pair of them!

hit up Singer...he gave me the best price for an Alt for me(saving for it now)...and it was less by like $50 for same size as the other brands I looked into

the first one looks like it would have loading issues where 1 sub would be blowing against the port wall and the other 1 would not...
the 2nd design looks more like the 4th's I am used to seeing...

I have been mulling over a switch to the SA8v.2 or E8v.2 subs...considering 2 SA8v.2 or 4 E8v.2 would both cost roughly the same and would be powered by a DC 1.2k at 1ohm...I have plenty of space for the box as my current setup is 5cubes just trying to figure out if the 2 SA8v.2's with 600watts each would out perform 4 E8v.2's with 300watts each?
any help with recommendation between either setup would be great

most dont prefer the 18 in trunk box because of trunk rattle alone...if you can seal it forward would be best option....maybe you can slant the sub but most likely that wont work either unless your trunk is pretty tall...good luck

i have run Infinity Kappas in the past...i know you posted about the reference series...personally my experience was a bit disappointing with them

with that said...have 412 CVX design you a box for 2 AA 15s...and put the 3500 on them...as for mids/highs i suggest listening to a few different brands til you find something that catches your ear...there are alot of options...some of them are actually cheap and effective to compensate for well powered sub stage

Stroupe79 with all due respect it really don't matter what I talk about...I decided to post to get opinions and suggestions whether it's about subs, components, amps or even paint jobs and rims...I didn't know I had to STAY on one topic...I want to apologize to stroupe79 for wanting to go ALL OVER THE MAP
well with slim to no respect...you might want to read the rules to the forum before posting on it...you would get alot more help if you followed the rules...people just take you for a little kid with pipe dreams when you come on and ask for advice on every single aspect of a system...
i mean if someone came on and asked what type of car should they buy to put a wall in I can understand that...ask what's too much power for a set of subs or do you prefer coaxial or componets...but to put 10 what should i's into 1 post is asking for people to disregard you all together...

this dude is all over the map....4 12s & 5k - v - 2 15s AQ3500...moves right on to what highs are the best?....someone mentions they run focals and like them...then its on to what amp you running on your focals?....jesus christ...should have just asked for people to tell you what fits in your car and what brand to get...

bleed the block with that shit up...your ears will adjust to it after awhile...honestly its probably not that loud...your just not used to it...
Nothing you can do. I drive daily bumping. Times where my radio is tuned up to 30 which on a termlab I was hitting 135db. To me it feels good. Probably need to get use to it. Or like you said need to make your treble not as loud.
is 135db loud to you?...just wondering

just asking...i dont know shit....but even if the m1 and m2 where in seperate enclosures and run on seperate amps they would still have to interact in the overall sound of the vehicle...in theory wouldnt the m2 enclosure out perform the m1 enclosure thus causing a problem?

with the gang on this site...Flashy is about the only option for walls and surfboard amps!...I mean I love a stealth install but its pretty rare on here unless its a trunk build or an SQ build...

thats only 24inches of sub width..and 8 height so roughly 30x10....you have plenty of room height and width to put 3 sa8's in a mustang..
did you plan on having the subs/port sealed forward from the trunk?....you have tons of room..those subs dont take much space to run them
