  1. I just ran it the way u suggested and the protection light went off but it was still no sound from the amp so Im sending it back to get another I still have full warranty on it.I even opened it up to see if I burnt out anything and nothing was burnt so I realized it's just a bad amp thats why im sending it back.
  2. It's a 94 oldsmobile 88 I have no pics right now but all I can tell u is that the amp is suppose to be stable down to 1 ohm and when I hooked it up I hooked up the hot wire first(red one) before I hooked up the ground so ure saying I should hook up the ground first then the hot wire to get my amp to turn on? I have a 140 amp fuse n between my power wire from the battery.I have another 40 amp in the amp, wired the remote wire directly to the hot wire so the amp will always stay on even if the car is off, grounded to the chassis behind car jack, ran (2)dvc 4ohm 12"subs in parallel to drop to 1ohm using 12gauge wire so that the amp gets 1 ohm.I hoped that helped since I dont have any pics.
  3. any body I really need a answer to this I cant get my amp to get out of protection and I know everything is connected corectly it cant be burnt out already it's brand new.
  4. hey I have a hifonics bxi606 mono amp and I cant seem to get it runnin right. I have all the wires hooked up correctly and all but everytime I get ready to hook up the ground it goes into protection.there are no fuses blowed or anything.wut else could it be because it's a brand new amp and I know I havent fried it that quik no smell of smoke or anything wut else can it be?
  5. how do I know what size port to get in order to get the box tuned to a certain frequency? I wanna tune around 35hz.any body is walcome to respond.
  6. hey wuts up people I need a little help and I know this is the place for me to come and ask for it.Im building a system for my olds mobile 88 (94 model) and I wanted to run either 2 or 3 12's and hit high numbers with my amp. I have the sony cdx-m7815x cd player that puts out 4volts from the preamp outputs,2 gauge wire and a hifonics bxi606 super D class 1200 watt mono amp soon to be runnin a cap with it or a batcap either or.Is it some budget speakers out there that will give me high numbers with either two or three of them im not lookin to spend a fortune just around$320 for both subs.HELP ME OUT PLZ!!!!!!
  7. nah dont have a box yet but plan on tryin 2 build a ported enclosure for my 3 pioneer TS-W126C 12's n wanted to get info on pakig the vents b4 I tried.Wut types of vents do u suggest for da most bang cuz I hear a lot bout the slot port design but not much bout anyother type.I think I may b able 2 pull it off making the box with circle ports but I still wanna know how 2 make others 2 c wut the sound difference is.
  8. :help:wut it dew everybodi I just got 1 question thats fairly simple I think.I know that when u are making a ported enclosure u have 2 have all the parameters n all but in the simpliest terms u can put it in I just wanna know how do u change the tuning frequency?I know u have 2 change da length n all but how do I know how long, short, tall, etc to make it to get to a specific tuning frequency? Is it anyway u can break it down like 30"=45hz 12"=20hz sum'n like dat so I can get a idea?
