But I don't think I did it correctly I usually just do it by ear or turn it like 1/4 of the way until I get the necessary equipment. Plus I didn't think like 150 watta would hurt anything lol. I've tried the multimeter only a few times haha.

Well its cool man but the new amp I'm looking at when I upgrade has a clipping light and I might try and get the DD-1 destortion detector. And sorry for blowing up I just heard if you didn't have an oscope it was perfectly fine to do it with a multimeter its only gain like 1/4 of the way. But yeah my other subs well it was only one 12 the only worked but its was rigged with a little peice of metal which caused it to spark and it melting part of the cone haha.

The amp is a 300 watt kenwood 2 channel I have it hooked up to push 150 watts bridged at 4 ohms the sub is a pioneer TS-W252R its a really cheap sub but I'm looking for a new amp and a 18 but until then this is all I got thanks man.

There is a method to set it correctly with a multimeter and test tones but I didn't make this topic to be called ignorant. Thank you for you input but I also don't currently have enough money for a oscope hence the reason I'm saving for a new system. I don't turn the gain up all the way either if that's what you think. Anyway does anyone have some real help. I don't lack knowledge just funds.

Nah I didn't blow them I bought them from a pawn shop and they wete rigged to work haha. Never buying from a pawn shop again. But maybe not really low then and I set my amps right it just needs a bigger box its in a tiny prefab box

I have a crappy 10 inch pioneer I think its 200-300 watt rms but I wanna build a ported box for it tuned really low my other subs blew so its all I got until I get my new system.

If I removed the motor I could use a 15" basket and a 15 inch recone since there isn't one for a 12

Okay well I'm going to talk to him then I'm going to start cutting. When I get down to the motor and the basket how would I remove the motor? I took apart my old polk 12 and when I tried removing the screws attached to the motor they striped.

Is there anyway if I'm really careful cutting I can reuse the softparts after fixing the pole piece or is there anyway to take off the magnet without removing the softparts?

My friend gave me his sub to look at and see if its fixable its a rf p2 its and 8 ohm svc model. Anyway he dropped it one day and it quit working. I pushed down on it and its rubbing really bad it hardly moves unless you push down hard. I think its coil rub can thia be fixed if not it will have to be trashed I don't think there are recones for it.

Ill probably go with 35hz then. Because I listen to everything rap, classic rock, punk, reggae, beats, etc, and stuff that doesn't have a category haha. but I'd like to give the occasional demo also.

I need help designing a box for an AQ HDC3 18 with copper coils. I drive an 2002 nissan xterra. I have no idea how to design a box really but I can build it. I just need help with the design. I also want it to be tuned to 32hz. Thank you.
