Okay I have been having a problem. I tuned my crescendo bc2000 with the dd1. The other day I was playing my moment (decaf) and the subwoofer cut in and out on the low note yet my voltage doesn't drop under 13.6 give or take but it shows clipping on the bass knob. Is this clipping or a loose connection. This only happens on low songs under 28hz. My box is tuned to 30hz and I am on stock electrical with the big 3 upgrade.

So it may work? Let me try and find some specs on the epic 8 and see if rusty or a DC rep will chime in. I just pm'd the seller on specs of the soft parts.

Will a DC level 8 recone work for a tc epic 8? I'm about to purchase one to play around with so I can learn to recone and practice building boxes and it needs a recone and I'm pretty sure tc doesn't have one. Also someone told me the level 2 8's softparts may work. Thank you!

indeed. The right tune will play 20hz with authority. The bandwith can be narrow or wide.4th orders are a bit easier but finding the right tune does take a bit.
I've heard if tuned right they are the way to go. Good range and numbers.
So if u want to try one go for it.
Got any ideas on where to start or go from I would love to have a box that could go that low yet still produce numbers

6th order is very hard to make. It takes along time to get both tunings right. Stick with a regular ported box and youll get some good numbers.
You think so? Even a 4th order is hard to tune? I was just wondering because I've heard of people getting really good results with 4th and 6th orders.

Would a 6th order be possible. I may do a new box soon for better numbers so just looking at ideas. Anyone have any ideas or tips?

Dang man I just got back from there like a week ago. I'm usually chilling at our local shop in town it's called augophonics it's in rocky mount nc.... so it's probably out of the way but if you pass by here on the way let me know and I will definitely give you a demo. I only have one 18 right now though but I keep adding stuff check out my build log it's in my signature

Where is it in Tennessee? We have nspl here in nc I believe but our season is almost over and I haven't been able to compete yet... plus I really want to hear your truck I've heard that everything sounds so clear and clean in it and the build looks amazing too and very clean.

I'm measuring voltage with a voltage meter its a xs scorpion one. I have to back off the gain about halfway or more on my gain knob for it to stop doing this. Also here are the pictures of my lpf and subsonic on the amp.
