  1. okay, so i run myh door speakers off my head unit, i do not have them amped. My EQ oh the HU is very extensive. I can set the HPF and LPF for each door speaker. On each speaker, i keep the bass at 0 (nothing below 150hz), mid at 3, and treble at 8. The subwoofer will be run through a separate pre-out.

As long as i dont run any bass through my door speakers, do i really need to "set EQ to flat" when i add a sub amp and use my DD-1? Theres so many different EQ settings that it takes about 20 or 30 minutes to set it up the way I have it.

  2. i wouldnt even bother using the soundstream, itll probably just junk up your sound quality.

Polk is known for very good sound quality product. My buddy has the same amp, and it sounded amazing on Four 10s.

Turn the LPF to 80 or 100 (should make louder), turn gain to around 60%(ish), turn the boost switch to 0db, phase to 0.

and its really not good to have mis-matching subs. at all. Get new subs.

  3. well, i dont think you'd get much sq from a boss, and i expect it's in a store-bought box which is even worse. I would give it a try, wire it to 2 ohms if you can, and if it doesnt sound as good, build yourself a new box.

no offense, but your system sounds like a mess. save up and buy some nice new equipment.

but for now, GO PORTED AND TURN THE GAIN DOWN!
