there is no reset button. took the faceplate off, and there was nothing back there either.
PUT THE FACEPLATE ON, AND NOW THE UNIT WONT EVEN TURN BACK ON

About a month ago, i bought a kdc-x695, i made the mistake of ignoring the warranty option. It has front aux, front usb and a cd player. 2 weeks after i bought it, in the middle of spl testing, my USB drive stopped working. We switched to CD's, now the CD drive won't read CDs. The only thing I can use now is my AUX input. This makes me "outlaw" in any comp i enter in, because I would have to use TNESPL's CDs or flashdrives and now I cant.
Is there a way I can still hook up a flashdrive to my head unit? I was thinking about getting a 3.5mm to male USB cable, then adding a Female usb to Female usb adaptor. Will this work fine with Ipod and flashdrive?

and welcome to the forum man, you'll learn alot (and it seems like you have alot to learn!)

wire the subs to 1 ohm and turn the gain down alot. if a sub calls for 500rms, you should give it 500rms. so you got the right idea. wire to 1 ohm to give them the full potential of the amp, but dont fuck the the gain. alot of gain = more smoke.
and patch the leaks on your box, dont slack on the most important part.

The DD-1 is not an o-scope. Quite a few differences, a big one being scopes detect clipping, the dd-1 detects distortion (omg!). All clipping is distortion, but not all distortion is clipping.
Without going into it too much, get a dd-1. It's more user friendly and its pretty amazing.

distortion IS clipping. is the DD-1 an oscope? no. it will just tell you at what gain level distortion is being sent to your speakers.

josh went from 4 sundown e8's, to 2 sundown sa 12's for finals(my subs now, i let him barrow them) to a custom 15 sub he won from a giveaway, which got blown, then he bought a crossfire 15, which we traded for what is now his system of 2 crossfire 12's, i'm good friends with josh.Didn't he have a shocker?

im still trying to figure out how to reset it. I looked in the manual troubleshooting and i found "USB drive not working?" and under solution it said "reset the unit", but i cant find out how...
