  1. thanks that helps a lot I guess as of now if I'm correct I should just run the stock battery and kinetik in parallel and either just forget the isolator or get one thats more than 200 amp..
  2. As of now I have a stock battery and alternator in my 07' dodge charger...my current build is gonna be 2 sa-12s on a brz 2400.1...I will have the big three completed by next week and then I was going to work on getting a second battery, I planned on getting a KHC-2000,,now I have two questions...First of all would I be fine with just one KHC-2000? And second of all how would I wire it..Would it be ok to wire it parallel with the stock battery? (I don't plan on playin the subs with the battery off btw) It was my previous understanding that two different batteries especially an acid and agm wired together in parallel would drain each other without an isolator relay, but then I heard that if they're both 12v batteries they'll be fine in parallel.. Also I do have a 200amp pac isolator/relay sitting in a box should I use that just to be safe? My dad used it in his truck for about 5 years lol so is there a way I can test it to make sure it works properly?
  3. my votes for the second d3100 but then again I don't really have any preferences seeing as I still have the stock one lol
  4. Thanks man even tho I know it looks pretty freakin rough, but I didn't have the right tools for the most part and the lowes guy really screwed me up with those cuts if they had been good then the box would be perfect..
  5. Well I already have body filler so I was gonna use that unless bondo-hair is much better....and its not just the wood I would need to buy man, I would have to drive 10 miles in gas, buy more wood, buy more glue, and waste the box I already started no matter how bad it is...like I said I can't afford that its a last resort...
  6. ha don't worry I deff am.. and I would trash it and do it over but I can't afford to do that now I have to work with what I have... so should I bondo the gaps fiberglass over the box and then bondo over the glass and then sand?
  7. lol I've never heard of carpet doing that before but yea I just want to get it so it doesn't look like an embarrassment and actually a good box ha
  8. Lmao go easy on me! I didn't make my cuts I had lowes do em ( bigass mistake)... But yea I guess thats true I just don't know what to do next I guess haha
  9. Ok so this is only my second subwoofer I've ever made and structurally its not bad its about 3.7 cu ft after displacement tuned to 32hz and will have my sa-12s goin in it...Now its actually not as bad as the pics look lol.... but anyways my original plan was to paint it but after seeing how bad I fu***ed up the fiberglass I'm thinkin I should just carpet it? I really do not wanna do any more glassing on this box btw I've wasted enough on it as it is.. But anyways the biggest flaw was that the dummy as lowes cut my top to short so it was about 2/4ths to short so there was a "step" on the back of the box which I filled in with bondo and glassed over the top to attempt to round it off...now go easy on me that was my first time fiberglassing lmao but here are some pics This is a small gap in between the first and second baffle but they are still securely mounted to each other and my subs fit flush LOL
  10. Yessir its about 3.5 cu ft after displacement and 32hz slot port this is it before I got the second baffle on it
  11. wat My bad I misread I thought you asked what my amp was gonna be for...Its going to be for a brz 2400.1D
  12. I'm pretty sure the thickness of the place I get it from is .095 and thanks man if you could gimme some different options of how to attach it that would be great and ahh ok I will remove some of that too I didn't think of that...
  13. I'd say it's sucking air in and blowing it out So...what amp is this for? hahah technically yes I didn't even think about the wording ! but its gonna be for my sa-12s I got about 3 weeks ago
  14. Sure does ! I gotta say though I like the things I'm seeing here! And yup I sure did I ran out to lowes and got one a couple hours ago actually, but I somehow managed to get my pieces cut SOMEWHAT decent, I hate doin sloppy work but In this case I figured I might as well just throw together somthin see how it works and looks and then down the road if it breaks or I wanna remake one I will!
  15. Hey guys many of you may not recognize me I haven't posted too much here (i think this is my first post lol) I mainly post on ROE but I'm gonna start puttin up everything here on SMD too! So I've had this planned for a while and just built the actual thing today. I was thinking about putting computer fans on the front and back to blow air in and suck air out to keep the amp cool, I'm also gonna put a transparent lexan window in the false floor of the trunk so you can see right through to the amp anyone have any suggestions on how to cut out and secure a window like that?
