How much 8 gauge you need?
I'd say about 7 feet or so not too much
-
any one else got any input?
-
I wouldnt mix and match sizes for subs, but thats me. There not some cheap subs you got there so I would try to find/use all the same gauge.
Btw just be careful having those sub magnets so close to your computer equipment, dont wanna erase your hard drive's!
Yea I hope to get some more wire ASAP when I can scrape up a couple extra bucks and yea I know I was thinking about that after I put em up there lol they weren't close to my pc tho..

Ok so basically I ran outta 8 gauge kicker speaker wire and wanted to know if this would be fine? Coils are in parallel with the 8 gauge and then the wire connecting the subs in parallel is the 12gauge but I twisted both sides together in the terminal on both side. I measured the final impedance with it wired like this and got 1.7ohms
Also would it be ok to wire the lead that goes to the amp like I have in the picture (spliced into the center of the wire that connects the subs vs the terminal on one sub)?

I actually bought that bxi 2607d on the first page already man
-
ehh personally I wouldn't do it or talk about it unless they bring it up..I know if that was my mom I wouldn't wanna talk about it at all with anyone thats just me though

LMAO that actually was funny as hell

I've seen alotta people use the expanding foam to seal it..looks kinda messy and shitty unless you have it covered up but it works pretty well I've heard

Sick of reading about people hating on lyoto machida because he lost to Jon Jones and I don't care what anyone says hes still the best LHW in the world he rocked jones and had him on his heels numerous times, I love Jon Jones he's an amazing fighter but he is a heavyweight fighting at light heavyweight just the fact that machida could land strikes at all was amazing seein as he was at a 10 inch reach disadvantage...And for those of you who are wondering yes the jones vs machida fight was a while ago but I just was reading some dumbasses article on machida and it pissed me off causing me to rant lol....
GO MACHIDA!

I know lead acid batteries don't do good at all in the cold...we did a test on one in my engineering magnet and after 15 hours in sub-freezing temps the lead acid battery had bulges from chemicals expanding inside and was done for...AGM on the other hand we did not test but I have read about tests with them before and they do considerably better in cold temperatures however its not ideal for them and they still can be damaged, all batteries have chemicals in them and are subject to change when exposed to extreme temperatures if your car was outside in that -14 degree weather for long enough it most likely wouldn't of just did that to your particular battery but a lot of different batteries..when you know theres cold weather next time start up your car if its sitting around to keep at least a little warmth in it...

haha favorite part is 1:22

lol try to put all ur questions in one post calm down! clipping is basically when you have your gain up too high on the amp and it causes distortion its horrible for the amp and speakers too.... if your tight on money look at carquest extreme ngt batteries they're relatively cheap come with a great warranty and you can get them at carquest retailers...as for your ground problems try grounding it somewhere else and see if it makes a difference thats the easiest way to fix that

What Should i upgrade first?10s and 9s are deff not good voltage readings man your basically demanding power from your amp that it isn't supplied to give to you...get rid of the cap and up grading your electrical!
Upgrade ur wiring to 0 gauge, get an extra battery and look at a mechman or dc alternator.

In most cases upgraded amp and speakers will help a lot.
No point of upgrading speakers and keeping stck amp
What I meant was just add the rockford amp and run the rockford speakers off it and keep the stock speakers on the stock amp, cause wouldn't that be a little much for a 4 channel amp to have 10 speakers runnin off it? (6 stock + the rockford components)
Call Ray at AI and get some Hertz Hi-Energy Components.......you wont regret it!
Ill check it out...

I plan on gettin a hc2000 before I upgrade the speakers and add an amp.... I was thinkin I would get this Rockford 6.5 component set and then this
Rockford P300-2 and glassin the A pillars and puttin them there......Will there be any problems with running the stocks off the stock amp and the new speakers off the 2 channel?

lmao I laughed so hard at how he put the ear muffs on before he got back out
using two different wiring gauges to wire subs?

Well I was thinking about using the 12g but its used and 3 years old I figured some new 8g would b better
Haha yea I know .. I plan on just drilling a hole through the box and running the wires through and then sealin the hole
