  1. i mean ill be completely honest, i still have about 3feet of 0awg left that i could just use for the bc2k, fuse it and be done.

but i wanted to salvage that last piece so i could just replaced my distribution block with a fuse holder and than use that extra 0awg to connect to the back battery.

but than i would have to buy more 0awg from the battery to the amp anyways... so i think it was just me trying to be a cheap ass with this and just find a way to save wire.

but it'll have a chance of biting me in the ass anyways so i think ill just use my current 0awg and save up for some more later. as the upgrade continues on.

just fuse and use the 0 gauge ....and for the love of GOD why do kids like you insist on having shirtless pics as your avatar this isn't fuckin myspace its a car audio forum with 99.9% dudes

  2. its gonna put a hell of a lot of stress on your alt, and your amps. i'll tell you that much.

    Whats the reason behind this?

isolator cuts the rear battery off from getting charged from the alt. so the voltage is going to be at like 12.8 and drop from there. once the voltage drops enough, something like in the 10's and low 11's, the isolator will switch so that the rear battery will be charging now. alts HATE charging dead batteries. it puts a shit ton of stress on them, since they're made to keep an already charged battery charged.

no...Thats an isolator...This is a relay..which means that when the car is on the relay allows turns on and connects the two batts..So technically whenever the engine is running the batteries would be charging like normal and when the ignition goes off they would be seperated.... or so i understand

  3. lol dont bother.

its resting lower most likely because the wet cell has a lower resting voltage than the agm battery. so the agm has to "charge" the wet cell while the car is off. equalizing the voltages, which would make the agm voltage lower and the wet cell voltage a tad higher

doesn't this harm the agm over time though? And if so wouldn't the relay help protect the agm while the car is off?

Idk the exact relay your referring too but yes

    This is it

  5. Good looking out Beemdub I was just about to ask what the max size box dimensions people have been putting in their trunks. What's the total cubic feet of that box?

well its a 4th order the ported side is just under 4 and the sealed section is 2 so right around 5.7 or so with port and sub displacement

  6. how do you design a box with out knowing what kind of power he is running and what kind of music its for

    x2

But the funnier part is, how does he know the box will fit thru the trunk opening.. LMAO

because I have built several trunk boxes for chargers, and on the last 2 boxes I had made a box out of cardboard to the external dimensions of my designs to ensure they fit.

Telling you right now, 13inches was my max height and barley cleared, and the box was only 33wide, 35 wide is going to force you to have a stepper angle while installing the box, that stepper angle combined with a taller box may not give you the space to clear the top of the trunk lid opening...

To the guy starting this thread, I would SEVERELY stress you to make a cardboard cutout box held together with tape to ensure it will fit. Its getting rather close to not fighting juding by a box that I just measure sitting in my house from a previous charger install.

Max dimensions you can fit in a charger is 33W X 15H X 28D ....Thats how big my box is and I fit it through the trunk opening with less that an inch to spare on all sides

  7. Jump on platypus's deal. Now. The only real good thing about the audiopipes is that they're cheap to replace when you blow them up lol.

whyd you ditch the your mom gif that was my favorite part of this site!! lol but yea I'm deff gonna try to get that aq2200

  8. i have an aq 2200 id let go for 250 in pocket after shipping expenses n what not.. if youre interested let me know and ill get the proper pics up..just havent had the motivation to make a f/s thread for it yet..or the old school ab 150.1 i already have a f/s thread for lol if youre interested in either lemme know
