  1. Picture of where your amp is grounded at?

    its grounded at the battery

Disconnect the speaker wires from the amp. Restart the amp. See if it goes into protect.

Just blew THE FUCK outta the amp...loud ass pops shit load a smoke and a little fire.... I opened it up and found this c91c0796.jpg

  2. So you have no voltage drop when playing full tilt? I highly doubt that and is your amp 1 ohm stable?

Subs cut out for a few resons

    Voltage drop

    Wrong ohm load

    Wired wrong

    Bad ground or power connections

Pushing the amp past its limits

Having a fucked up sub/ tinsel lead

Wich one of those are you guilty of?

no I mean I don't have bad voltage drop..I stay above 12.7... everythings wired correctly sub leads are all good...I'm guessing at this point its the amp...I mean idk what else to assume..Even though I've never played it clipped, and have ran it at 1 ohm for quite a while...I don't even play em full tilt for more than 2minutes...

  3. Turn the DMM to AC Volts, turn on music, and measure the volts at the speaker terminals on the amp.

is there a way to check and see if my amp is putting out to the sub wires?

dmm on ac voltage, and on the output of the amp would be what i would say.if you get a reading while you have something playing, you have a signal fromthe amp. that doesnt say how good the signal is, just shows that the amp is putting out

    edit: ninjd

dmm wasnt reading anything out of the amp speaker outputs >:(

  4. Just finished putting some finishing trim on the wall in my charger and I go to take a final video, so I put the volume on low and my rca level knob was at about 2/5...Everything was working fine...Subs were playing amp was on all normal etc...So then I restart the song and turn the volume up and turn my rca level knob all the way (so full tilt) for my video..Bass hits...plays for about 5 seconds then cuts out COMPLETELY...to avoid suggestions of solutions that I already have done heres a list of what I have done

    1. Checked amp is getting power and made sure voltage is the same before and after fuse

    2. Checked subs...All connections are intact and final load reads 1 ohm

    3. ATTEMPTED to check rcas with dmm...I put the negative to the outer shield and the positive on the inner pin read nothing.... Did it too the other rcas to my 4 channel and they also did nothing so I may have been doing something wrong?
