About Me

I work full time for one of the big Telcos, but dabble in audio/video in my spare time. I love subwoofer enclosure design, never thought that would be my "thing", but way better than store bought!

First time I went to CES, I saw the Fosgate "Booth", (if you can call it that) I was taken back by Steve's truck. Sooner or later I hope to build something close to that level, more later than sooner!

2009 Restyling Magazine featured my Jeep twice (2 mags), once in a quick small pic, then later a full page.

As of 2012, my Jeep was featured in the AudioPipe Calendar, (June) and the company catalog. Normally running a brand priced a nice as AudioPipe, you have draw backs. So far so good! My 1996 Jeep Cherokee is also my 50/50 driver, so I can't go too nuts. I left the Subwoofer box under the window lines, so I can try to stay in stock class. One battery, one alternator. I run 3 digital 1000watt rms @1ohm, AudioPipe amps, and 6-12" AudioPipe subs (pushing the watts on the subs), ported a bit higher to 43 Hz. (triangle ports - just because). It was all airbrushed painted tru-fire & tribal by my brother Dan Hazelton (tattoo artist). All body & paint done in personal garage, clearcoat done in a booth.

The Jeep in all the pics is the retired one, early 2011, bought another 1996 Jeep Cherokee, started moding it up. All panels welded with braces, removed rear trunk side windows, welded 1/8" thick steel, braced entire ceiling, lifted suspension 6 1/2", changed front doors and front clip to 2001 Cherokee, as well as interior (just for cup holders, j/k). New Jeep is up & running, lots of tuning & leak work to do, but it gets cold here in WI, so it's gonna sit like it is. I will play in the snow here & there, but not much.

I have more pics on my facebook, hazeltonsound, please "like" it!
