  1. I like aquaphor. I use it for the first 2 or 3 days then switch to Curel. A tattoo can take several weeks to heal. Every tattoo can react differently in the healing process. If you are concerned see a doctor.
  2. It's scabbing, sometimes the tattoo artist has a heavier hand in some locations. Just use curel or lubriderm with no frangrances or dyes. Keep washing it with an antibacterial soap again with no dyes or fragrances and you'll be fine. Don't use A&D or any petroleum products it will suffocate the tattoo. It is a wound that needs to air and breathe to heal. Your body will take care of what it has to heal.
  3. I'd like to thank the board for all your suggestions. I turned the gain and frequency all the way down and only adjusted the sub woofer to +6 on the desk, level and bass boost on the amp and all I have to say is "Wow!" it sounds way better! I am going to double check with the DD-1 tomorrow that that with the +6 its not distorting but I am def. happy. Does anyone have any suggestions for setting the Hi-Pass, Lo-Pass and phase shift on this amp? Thank Steve and D'amore for a great product.
  4. Can you make any recommendations on setting the Hi Pass, Low Pass and Frequency mostly Rock/metal music.
  5. Is it normal for the gain to be at maximum? It really seems to have no effect. Just the level and bass boost make a difference.
  6. I have a Planet Audio 5 channel amp Model P600.5S it has Hi Pass and Level for the mids and highs and Gain, Level, Bass boost, Frequency and Phase for the sub. I used the DD-1 and verified my maximum volume on the Pioneer Avic D-3 is 35 so I moved on to setting the gains and here is where my questions come in. I raise the levels on the front and rear channel until distortion is detected and backed off. Moved on to the sub woofer I found I could turn the gain all the way up and no distortion was detected. It wasn't until I turned the level and bass boost was distortion detected. I reconnected the speaker wires and turned it on and it doesn't sound very good. The sound is flat. (Yes, I did return my EQ and HPF back the way I had it.) The bass sounds like I need volume 35 before it hits and then the front and rear speakers are so loud. Before I messed with it, it sounded much better. I guess my question is what do you think the problem is? Why does the gain have no effect on the sub? What should the frequency be set to? What is the purpose of the gain and level?
