  1. Lol, that reminded me of this video Best bailout I have ever seen LMFAO that was hilarious. Definitely the best i've seen too. LOL sony xplods were never great quality.... i think i can make a subwoofer out of refrigerator magnets and construction paper and it would probably sound better lmfaooooo.. with technology like the internet now adays theres no reason why people do not know about these companies... i guess it comes down to marketing tho.. but as with most companies more sales = shittier quality
  2. lmfaooo smh.. i love big amps.. the bigger the amp the better the cooling and the better the parts.. at least to me.. can't get big power from little things!
  3. lol yea... no one can believe i have only 1 12 in my trunk.. sounds like 2 lol.. but can i get confirmation from a rep or rusty that it stands for Direct Current?
  4. The aeroports look cool but i dont think i have enough space width wise to put one in =\ the box Joe X made looks great tho
  5. OMG thank you! that box looks PERFECT! i can definitely spare the two inches in the depth.. thats no problem at all.. thanks alot
  6. Sorry I made a mistake.. It was 3.07 cubesfor net volume.. I will post a picture later tonight when I get home from school and work.. Wow those aero ports look cool! They look hard to make tho
  7. Also what is an aero port? Is it a round port?
  8. I can mess with the depth a little..but the calculator says that I have 5 cubes of space.. Or am I missing something? what's confusing me is that when it comes to the port it says the port length should be 12 inches.. But then it says the port bends.. All my dimensions are greater that 12 so why does the port have to bend?
  9. I am trying to design a box for my 2 dc lvl 4 12 inch speakers.. my limitations are 30 (wide)x18(deep)x16(high).. i wanna tune it around 33-37 hz with a center port inbetween the two subwoofers.. im using the Torres box tuning calculator but im gettin so lost when it comes to the port part.. can someone help me?
  10. im pushing about 90 watts right now to some O2's.. they're the best 5.25's i could find without paying like $150s loll.. no way i could do it?
  11. i may just take the speaker cover out completely for now till im able to build a grill or something
  12. Whats up guys? so my car has 5.25 speakers in the front doors and theyre not that loud.. so i want to put some 6.5's in them.. except i dont know how im going to do it since they probably wont fit.. i dont know how to fiberglass.. could i just build it up with mdf??
  13. aaaaaand welcome to Pennsylvania. I HAVE heard one person who has heard of Sundown though, and the local dealers are too mainstream to know of these companies. Try coming to Ireland... Where no one has heard of kicker or JL or rockford fosgate etc. I could probably count on my hands the amount of people who know an alright amount of car audio within 100 miles of me. how did you end up stumbling upon DC then? I only came upon it when I had a room mate (cashdollar2009) had DC lvl 4 XL 15 in his vehiclehmmmm, I won't go to ireland, but I have a good friend going there 2nd semester this year for study abroad wow lmfao most ppl in ny know about kicker.. that's pretty much it.. then you have those who think they know 'all there is to know about car audio' who only know about JL lol then i think there's a select few who know about DC, AA, Skar etc.. lol but wow ireland? that's great news for DC! I came across DC when i was doing months of research before even buying a sub.. then i bought a L7 for temporary bass and later upgraded to DC
  14. lol i was thinking direct current but i dont want to say the wrong shit lol
  15. so i've been asked this many times by people in my area.. most of which never heard of DC because they're heads are so far up JL's ass loll but yea anyway they all want to know what the DC in DC audio stands for.. any takers? lol
  16. lol at least you got it out! must have been a bitch tho
  17. definitely.. or i might leave it alone.. i was wondering if i could mount one normally and invert the other? so one has the magnet inside the box and the other has it on the outside.. or will that cause a problem with the way it sounds? this is my first time running two subwoofers together
  18. i just bought a sub used from a forum member that doesn't match the one i already have edit: dustcap wise that is lol everything else is the same
  19. lol so in the end i have three options.. glue the dome caps over it.. use paint remover on it then leave it alone/tape off and paint... or just leave it alone.. hmmmm.. i'll seee what i should do.. but if i glue the dome cap over it what kind of glue should i be using?
  20. LMAO its what i have in the basement! wth is plunged and fixed? lol i asked my dad about his and he has a router so maybe all i will need is the bit and the jasper jig? im going to need to make 6 holes and i may build my own boxes for my home speakers too.. so it may be worth it for me to buy the parts
  21. wow.. thats crazyyyy.. how long have you had these?
  22. sorry OP.. don't mean to try and steal or poke my way into this thread.. but how do you have these wired? one amp to each coil? is it safe to do that? because those are REALLY cheap for that power!
  23. I like that.. getting creative with the things around you!
  24. lol guess ill go with the router! i'll try to get some pics up lol.. im so behind with the pics tho.. i was supposed to put up pics of my dc like three months ago and i never got around to it lol..
  25. reading > me you said WITHOUT a router...my bad. I still stand by my words. Get one and never look back. Worth every penny. That's quite alright.. i never heard of a Jasper Circle Jig.. seems like it would make the job a whole lot easier.. i just asked my dad and he has a router somewhere in the attic.. so maybe ill just buy that jasper jig and use it. Thanks! i've always liked black and decker tools.. they're decent quality stuff.. i guess it boils down to which tool i would use more often after making these cut outs lol
