id like to switch out all of my interior lighting to LED.id like it so the LED came on just as the ones do now when the door is opened (under the dash and the lights in the doors plus the dome lights) i don't want any added switches or anything that has to b flipped anytime i want the lights to come on. nothin fancy or extremely bright i just want the white look for when i get my black interior put in is this possible and easy for someone like me who is barely beginning any type of thing like this? also i have leather seats in my truck and id like to keep them but they are a tan color and id like them black.. I'm about to start to restore the leather. its not bad at all just the normal wear..no tears or anything severe i was just going to get meguiars leather cleaner and conditioner? will that be good enough to restore the leather? and to dye the leather? what would someone recommend? any place around here i can ask all say to check pep boys or auto zone and they tell me to check online.

Im looking for the best bang for mu buck.. Im not afraid of spendin money but if i dont have to all the better..only reason i brought up dynamat is because they are all i kno?

All i have is 2 12in cvr in a custom box, 2 6"9, and all the door speakers and tweeters up front.. All kicker.. Tryna upgrade that as well but until i get the cosmetics down im not too concerned.. All of it was a gift from someone who was sellin thier truck n didnt have a place for it.. But because o it ive gotten very interested in car audio.. Its my everyday vehicle so im not tryna get competition status

I'm about to do some work on my interior and want to lay down some dynamat in my '00 escalade. 1/2 for the bass but i also want to quiet the ride a little. can anyone tell me where the most effective places are to start with? how much dynamat would any1 suggest id need to get for a decent outcome? how much would it take to cover the whole truck with a single layer? and what places exactly can it be applied to?

I've always been a DO IT YOURSELFer and recently fell in love with the automotive customization!! I've asked around and there aren't any places around here that offer the type of services other bigger cities can offer. Ive decided to take a shot at it myself and need some help. I've looked at local community colleges about what they offer and i will be taking a few basic automotive classes..but what do i need to learn to do car audio? alarms? and anything with a complete interior customization? I'm using my truck as a 1st project and my plans are to re do everything! the interior is a cracked and torn tan leather..everything is tan..i want it black? by either salvaging the leather and dying it black? paint the dash? and all the trim? I'm also curious about changing out the instrument cluster from a mine a 2000 cadillac escalade to a 2002 cadillac escalade? the odometer is digital on the new one but not the one i have now? and the cluster positions are arranged nicer.. id also like to switch the center console and the top console is this possible? if any1 has any advice on how i can do this or where i can get more info? i kno this is interior section but I'm also interested in how to build boxes and how to wire up car audio? i have tried and ask many different people and places and all the places give me multiple responses and most of the time its " but i don't know for sure? we don't do those type of things) there is no places around here that really offer the total customizations and id like to learn to start the industry down in my area..
