  1. these are the speakers im working with.
  2. For some reason I found this funny. no real reason to "listen" to the music once the bass hits huh ... Why so many drivers ?? you have a large bass system ?? If so, Sorry guy, I will step out of this one cause I'm a Sound Quality guy ... Best of luck Sir ... Yes I am doing a hole system redo with a good amount of bass in it and i need the front stage to keep up.
  3. I did really look in to that but my a pillar is supper skinny and to do that i would have to bulk the hole piece up a ton because its only an inch wide.
  4. Im going to be fiber glassing it. What im working with is a 2 3.5 inch tweeter horn 2 5 inch mids and 2 8 inch mid bass. The main limitation i have is i have to be able to still use the existing electronics that are on the door.
  5. I want to play everything crisp and loud when playing music like the Eagles but still want them to keep up when the hair trick songs start playing.
  6. Ok so I am doing my door panels soon and was wondering how much space should be in between the highs mids and mid bass speakers. I have noticed on some cars where all the speakers are crammed together it sounds not good but when the speakers are placed farther apart it sounds better. So question is how much space should high have from a mid and a mid to a mid bass speaker to sounds as good as it can? I am not talking about air space but distance apart so the the sound waves do not interfere with each other. Thanks in advance.
  7. o ok so then just using the existing mounts for where the coil over shock would go right? So would you be running a compressor or just have the adjustments for the ride stiffness on the coil overs?
  8. i just found this on the internet did not do much looking in to the quality of the parts but this might get you started. hope it helps you get started. o and its exactly for that car. http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/Air-Suspension-Inc/Air-Suspension-Kits/Premium-Air-Suspension-Kit/582028/
  9. Sweet thanks for all the input.
  10. I dig that idea 1 wall two systems that will save me the most money and time in the long run. Even if it does not sound perfect with the pioneers.
  11. The reason for the subs that i put is because i was just given 6 of them so i just want to put them to use. In time i will be upgrading to some Skar subs so defiantly a new box. Also upgrading the electoral so i can run 10k rms through it. Each of those subs calls for a max around 1.6 cubic feet so around 9.6 for 6 and 12.8 for 8 of them. so i think taking it to the B pillar will be my best bet for a clam shell
  12. So originally i was thinking of doing a 6 12's in a clam shell box behind the c pillar(38.5w x 28d x 32h max dimensions then i was thinking why not go with 8 12's (50w x 48d x 33h are my max dimensions). in a clam shell or straight wall behind the b pillar. I am wanting to build for a ground pounder and this is going in a 4runner running 3000 rms to start(yes i know i have to upgrade electrical system). My question is what are the pros and cons to both set ups? I am perfectly fine with taking the back set out. Any input is welcome i will be running pioneer Ts-w303R 12's and a Hifonics Hfi1500d(i am on a budget and going to up grade as cash flow comes in). Any other thoughts on boxes welcome thanks for your time.
  13. I think i am going to look further in to this and come up with an estimated price for every thing and go from there. Thanks for the input any other is welcome negative or positive.
  14. I just would like to try something different to see if i can get better numbers than some one with a full car audio set up. I have seen some incredible home speakers that play extremely high highs and very low lows and every thing in between. Im thinking balance with a SPL in the 140 to 150.
