well ima get it when i get my tax money so it'll be iight, n its eather pay $229 for the 500d or $289 for the 1000d it says its 1000watts rms@1ohm i dont kno if thats true cause on the mtx website they said my subs are 900watts max n i dont want to weld em so i guess i'll turn the gain down on it

with all the current draw i wouldn't?

im gunna be runnin a memphis pr1000d for my subs and a 1farid stinger cap, a sony 600watt 4ch for my enterior speakers, i dont kno if my stock alt will handel the current draw, ima be runnin the sub amp at 1ohm, i dont kno if ima halfto get a bigger alt, or another battery or both, $ kinda tight atm so the best/cheapest way out will be more than aprecheated, with my mtx500d wired to 4ohm my lights dim a lil at loud peaks but not alot, so ied rly eprecate the help, ima be runnin 1/0 into a dist block n then 4out to the amps, thank :help:x for the help n ps(dont mind my spellin im still workin on it lol

like he^ said, just a 5gal bucket aint gunna cut it for sound quality or highoutput, u gotta reinforce the bottom n sides cause as thin as they are there gunna vibrate n f up the resonate notes played n sound like pure shit, wut ied do is help him build a good 5gal bucket encloser n den build a sub box n show him that u can make a box out of anything just doesnt mean that it will be as loud as ported/sealed nor will have the sq with the bucket, cause by the time u get done reinforceing n braceing the bucket the $5 bet aint gunna look like shit compared to the price of makein it n givein the stuff needed u'll loose so much airspace that when finished it wont hit right, but for a sealed u can put dynomat around the bucket n a layer or 2 on the bottom n try some polyfill for the inside, n for ported still insolate the outsides a bit n den put a port in the middle of the bucket on the bottom n see if that helps, but to tell the truth ied rather go wit a sealed/ported box n say the hell with it, but another thing is for fun try one of those 5gal water jugs that go ona watercooler, put the sub in the top, insolate the outsides n see if dat works, i might try it myself later, i dnt kno if my opinon helps but worth a shot,the end result is gunna show ur buddy that a sealed/ported box built right is no comparson to the bucket, end of story

well when i get bored i try n make speakerboxs out of odd things n ive used a bucket befor but when the sub starts hammering the vibrations hit the bottom n sound like shit so if ur wantin to port it ied sujest port the bottom of the bucket n lay it on its side n put the basket inside the bucket n seal the sub around n run the wire threw the port, im not sure if this will help u or not but thats the best way i kno of doin a box like that :^
