  1. Did these ever get done? Right this minute, I do not remember ever getting an email from you about this since my name was mentioned. Don't know if you ever emailed me. But if this still needs to get done, I will do them for ya. If they were done, I would love to see how they came out.
  2. To get the Evercoat products, find a local paint and body supply shop. I use Car Quest myself. They can get it for you. Expect to pay about $35 for a tube. In the uneven sections, just sand out the glass thats there till it is pretty smooth. I said till it is almost all off cause some of it looks retty uneven. If you can sand it pretty smooth and work the rest out with bodyfiller, then go for it.
  3. I need to understand something here.... is the console wrapped like that just to make the upper and lower parts as 1? You mentioned that you would be cutting out for the storage pockets. Will it eventually look like it is stock, all access to the cup holders and storage pocket up front, just as 1 peice? If that is true, your doing it the hard way. And the more expensive way. Assuming I am understanding it right, this is what my suggestion would be. Take a grinder, heavy grit roloc disc, or whatever, and sand the glass work you did to the 2 parts and smooth them as much as you can. Almost off basically. Use an Evercoat 2 part urethane called Maxim. http://www.evercoat.com/productDetail.aspx?pID=179 You apply it using a standard caulk gun. Use that at the seam of the 2 parts, and then spread it as smooth as you can, let cure, sand. repeat as nessacary to get smooth. Then you can use some Rage bodyfiller to smooth it further for paint. Then you can prep it and paint it as you would any interior plastic. If I have your initial plan wrong, then I will assist you with info when I see the response.
  4. If you do, then I might be able to help you. Only thing is, I don't know if I will hire 1 person, or 3. Here is the senerio. For those that don't know, I started an interior repair service at the ADESA Auto Auction off 301 and 63rd in Bradenton. I repair cracks, tears, rips in leather and re-dye them. Also do headlights, sand and buffs scratches. wheel repair (cosmetic), and some other odds and ends crap. I will probally need to hire 1 person for this to learn and help me. You don't need any experience, but be willing to learn my techniques. No short cuts. Also do burn holes, rips and stain removals in cloth seats. Not sure what the pay will be just yet. I do know that some days you will get off about 1 or 2pm and some days you may be there till 9pm. I rearely work weekends unless a deadline looms. So it isn't impossible but it is unlikely. Oh yeah, you will be subject to my musical taste. The other possibility is that I accept an offer for a new position at the auction. This would require 3 people under me. Basically, you would drive cars around the auction to where they need to be at that time. So you have to have a valid drivers lisence. Not a hard job. Hours could be anywhere from 32 - 40+ hours and probally pay like $8/hour. Again, probally no weekends unless really really needed.
  5. Got a good condition home theater receiver I wanna sell. Would like to get $85 shipped or $60 picked up. Here are the specs...... http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/productdetail.html?CNTID=200184&CTID=5000400 Reply here or PM me. Email if you prefer at evilempire_43@hotmailDOTcom
  6. I was wanting a DD HU. I was gonna throw in cash also. Or some flip out touch screen DVD would have worked also. I have a pending sale right now anyways.
  7. Lowered the price to $150 shipped. I will listen to offers.
  8. A very slightly used SAX125.2 amp. You know them well. Very nice amps. It was used for a very short time. Still in pristine condition. It was mounted using only 2 of the holes and I pictured the worst looking one. $150 shipped. If you need contact info, reply here, PM me or email me at evilempire_43@hotmailDOTcom
  9. Very nice Steve. I see 2 things noone has mentioned yet. That seperate looking shop area, enclose it and make it a wood/glassing room with dust extracters. And while the wife may be happy to have a garage, backyard again, how did she feel about the commitment of this place? I know when I moved outta the garage to the 1st shop, mine had mixed emotions. And having a place to play (ramps and b-ball) will definatly help break any stressfull moments and give the kids a place to hang and have fun. And if you don't mind, I would like to come out and check it out sometime. I've never been to Cali (unless running thru the SanFran airport counts) and I am planning a trip probally next year and will be meeting up with Joe also.
  10. When you say fiberglassing a 10" screen into the dash, I am gonna assume you just want the screen molded into the dash bezel. If you already have the screen, I would do it for $500. But then you would have to make sure it all clears, lines up and all brackets are secured. Like mentioned before, there is alot of smaller things to factor in besides just the fab work you can see on the outside.
  11. Now some inside the stadium....... ESPN pre-game show as seen from my seat..... Game distractions..... Peyton and Eli after the halftime interviews....

  15. Thanks alot my man. Means alot coming from you. I have cut down my overhead alot and only do stuff like this by appointment and on my time only since I stated the new interior repair thing at the car auction. So some things I can do cheaper than normal.
  16. Good question. I will do them in primer for $175. But I am leaving for North Carolina in the morning so I wouldn't even be able to touch them for at least 2 weeks. PM me if you need.
  17. You just have to sand them more. What grit papers did you use? And did you use a good filler primer or a regular primer? I have a sticky somewhere about doing this correclty on this site. And if you went to my fourm, I have a write up with pics on how it is done. See the 2nd banner in my sig. Hell no. Sanding right and filler primers and then more sanding are what you have to do.
