  1. Building a box for 2 Memphis 12's running on a Rockford 500.1 amp

I would just like you guys to look it over and make sure I have it done right.

    box.jpg

Everything is front facing, port is on the left side of box looking from the front with the 2 subs next to it. I am putting a 45 on the port corner and rounding port opening. My question is does all that look right? And the 1 peace of wood that I am using for the port wall is 13" long right? Or is it 10.25" long?

  2. 1.get a multimeter

    2. check voltage coming off alternator post directly

X2 and that new should have a regulator built in to the alt. If you don't get 14 at the alt directly the alternator is gone.

Have all acc off when you check it running.

Edit:  Nina'd well you if you only get 13 with nothing on it is the alternator soon you will not get anything. And yes autozone can check it for you. Your batteries are fine

  3. I have used both kicker and RF they are exactly the same in my opinion. They both have same size insulation and very close to same strand count both very flexible and look nice. There is no difference in the amount of power they can take. They both take a 300 amp draw great. The only difference that I have found is that the kicker is cheaper. So I would get the kicker. Have not ever used any of the others so no opinion on them.

  4. So you put in a system but you can't even drive it? That sucks... Ya hit me up sometime. There is not really another good way to do it. The best way other then a o-scope or DD-1 would be with a Digital Multimeter but that is not going to be as accurate and you could still have clipping. It is basically imposable by ear. You will not be able to hear clipping or distortion tell it is really bad.

Ninja'd  and I did not even put up the link ether :glare:
