I would still go crescendo because you could later get a second sub and wire to 1 ohm and get around 1600 watts without needing a new amp

This gets my vote. Will do a little iver 1k at 2 ohms based in codys Dyno results and it's great price.

For a single level 3 m2 I would get a dc 1.2k and wire to 1 ohm. After impedance rise it will be perfect pair.

I've said this once, twice, and i'll say it again. Damn near every single DC build i've sat in whether or not running rated power or a little more, or a lot more. They've always had a funky smell to me. Not typical burnt coil smell, maybe it has to do with the glue they use?
My level 4s always had a distinct smell to them that was not coil backed up by the fact that when I sold them the coils still looked new

Exactly my two xls are going on a 7.5k at 0.5 daily. You gotta know what your doing and build the box for the planned power and set gains properly.

You could use a Skar LP550.1D which would give it 420rms at 2 ohms or 350rms at 4 ohms depending on what coil configuration sub you bought.
It is a dvc.

No bolt the lug straight to the battery with the included bolts. So e people spend money on toolmaker terminals like myself but only for looks.
