what does it mean when your ground cable from the amp keeps overheating ?

i dont think its the cable its a 4gauge..could it be the amp that is not working right? the problem just started 2days ago

Where is it grounded at? Did you use a pre-existing factory body bolt by chance? Like a seat belt bolt for example.
