also keep in mind, this will strain the shit out of the alt in your setup, the caps will be steeling from the amps to recharge...
Isn't that what batteries do in a multi-battery setup anyway? Again I'm not being condescending, I'm looking for answers with depth, sorry If I'm annoying you with defensive questions.

just put them in parallel next to each other + to + then - to - then to your amps if you must use caps
Is this correct? or do I need to ground both caps?
EDIT: Forgot pic:

I must for now, my alt is only 120amp (80 stock, I'm using one for a jeep 2 or 3 years newer than my jeep, because it's the only bigger one that will fit) and my lights dimmed pretty bad with my old sony 1200w-D. I'll draw another pic if you can tell me If I've understood you correctly.

question: How to wire 2 caps
answer: you don't
I'm new to this, do you mind explaining a little more. You've told me what not to do (kinda), you forgot to tell me what to do.
No sarcasm intended.
EDIT: I appreciate you helping.

I know, I know, most in this forum don't like caps. At least from what I've read that is the Majority Opinion. However, at the moment I can't afford a new alternator I already went $200 of my budget when building the new system. Also, I have heard that caps burn out an alt faster. This is not a problem since I have a life time warranty (on my third in 5 years time). Is the pic below how I should wire the caps?
When I get taxes I will be getting a new alt, and maybe another battery if needed. Baby steps...

I would do just a wee bit smaller for the SSD. I would like at like 2.75^3 after displacement with about 14^2 of port per cube
What would that before displacements? Above 3cf? If not, why would It be good to go below recommended cubes?
-
Your math looks right, but you aren't taking the thickness of the wood into consideration.
Oh... that makes sense... However, I'm just gonna take ya'lls word that is 3-4cf. I'm not sure how to take all the wood side and the thickness into consideration.

What kind of vehicle is this going in?
1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

the net volume after all displacements would be about 3.8 if i did it right. but the port area is a lil small. if you want some help on a box design shoot me a pm.
Also, I guess I'm not figuring the volume right I still get around 6cf
Am I suppose to just figure the volume for the chamber or the whole sub. Or perhaps I'm just doing it wrong period(.)?
2' 5" = 29"
2' 6" = 30"
1' 1" = 13"
29" * 30" * 13" = 11310"
-----
BACK TO CUBES OF FEET
-----
12"x12"x12" = 1728"
11310/1728 = 6' 5" (to the 3rd)
It's been years since I've had to do area or volume, so I could very well be wrong.
If so, what is the formula again?

What are your max dimensions to work with?
3' left-right
2' from top of back seat to back door. (that leaves about 2" for the ports to get air).
Height is not a concern, as one that did hit the roof would be bigger than 6cubes. Also, I will not be at all upset if it obstructs my view. I was thinking about a back up cam anyway.
mb quart? ONX or QONX
-
it all depends on the power you plan on pushing to the sub.
x2.. what amp you using at what ohm load?
Bout to send you a PM, but I'm MB-1.1500D 2ohm. (1ohm per VC)

I have an MB1.1500D
I wouldn't do 6 cubes for a single 15.
Do you know of a box similar with a better Cube count? This is my first box, and I would really, REALLY like for it to look like this. I know I'm asking a good bit, sorry.
-
This is my first box and I found one I really like. However, I don't know if my sub will feel the same way.
What do you guys think? too much, or is it okay to use?

I'm new so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this should be right.

Thanks, in the most recent pic should the top or bottom cap be grounded
I'm new to all this, Voltage drop refers to the alt not being able to supply additional/enough amps rights? I know you comment was aimed at c-fizzy, I'm just trying to understand it myself. Thanks.
